Televised Teenage Angst

I can't believe my dad got mad at me because an email I was trying to send wouldn't send. He was acting like I was incompetent again. It said that my email host could not find the address.

I've been trying to make a facebook page for my comic, but it's not going very well. I mean making the facebook page. I have a deviantart and twitter for it though. They are pretty sparse though. I might just delete the facebook page. Update: facebook page pending deletion. It's in the 14 day waiting period.

I watched all of the episode of Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills. I watched the first episode, and took some notes. After watching it the show reminds me more of Photon than Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad. It's got a bunch of loud music and slow motion scenes for no reason. At least Dic didn't waste the money on the rights to popular music of the time like they did with Photon. But when Dic made Photon they were a relatively new company. I think if I would have saw this as a kid I might have questioned the production values. It did come out when was 10. Is Drew (the blond girl) supposed to be adventurous or rebellious she was wearing a leather-like vest. The show did mix it up a bit by having an AA nerd character. He's like a mix of Billy from Power Rangers and Urkel. Dic also mixed it up a bit with SSSS by having Syd (a female) be the smart one. That was one of the things I liked about SSSS. It was the same thing with Gadget in the Rescue Rangers. I like to relate to the brainy girl character if the main group is of mixed gender. Except for Recess. I liked Gus the best. But not when the group is of the same gender like the Winx Club. Tecna is not my favorite one; it's Stella. The preppy boy is funny. He reminds me of a bit of Niles Crane, Calvin from Ghostwriter, and a character from California Dreams. The coffee bar they meet at is supposed to be like the juice bar from Power Rangers. Then I was thinking did they copy Friends? I think it is more of a coincidence since both shows premiered in the same year. The outfits they wear are totally Power Ranger knockoffs. They have a little bit of pro wrestler or American Gladiators mixed in. The masks totally are a Power Ranger knockoff with the silver lips and all. they have similar weapons. One of them has an axe and one has a lance. I don't think the show is a pure Power Rangers knockoff I think there is a little Saved by the Bell mixed in there and maybe a little bit of Photon.

I also watched a whole episode of Mona the Vampire. I still don't get this show, and I don't like it. I heard that she solves cases. I thought it was going to be like Miss Mallard which I really liked. I think Mona has supernatural powers or something like that. In the episode I saw she imprisoned a vampire in a comic book. It's funny because she calls her diary a "vampire diary". What is up with her vampire hair? I do like the theme song.

I was hoping to rewatch the Wonderful World of Oz, but I don't think that will be possible. I'll still try and record Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills. That is too much of a train wreck of a show not to watch.

Here are my colored in Benard comics. I colored them in with the crayon brush in Paint. I use to color my Benard comics in by hand with crayon. I showed the contrast between the pink and the blue bear.

Glee was ok I really liked when Will confronted Quinn, and told her to grow up. I could take a lesson from Glee. PS if anybody wants to use me in a campaign video feel free to contact me. But why was Kurt twirling daggers? It reminded me of the Ninja Turtles.

Legality

It is funny that Shirley and I were sort of on the same wavelength.

Before I read her facebook note about how her conversation went about her work being "too noir".

I was thinking about when I was a freshman in college and I was more concerned with the school's culture than with the actual learning. I remember what my dead friend wrote me in a letter. I was thinking of quoting it directly, but since she is dead. I didn't want to get mixed up in the legality of it. To paraphrase it. She wanted to know if I was studying at college, and not just focused on music and fashion.

I have to admit now that was one of my downfalls. It's just when I go to a new school I don't know the culture; sometimes that can get me in trouble. I feel like Gus from Recess. :( Link

Something strange happened on facebook. It was funny/strange and weird all at the same time don't worry it's nothing bad. I'm not in danger or anything like that.

I emailed somebody something last year, and I guess they saved the message I sent or added me into their contacts. I'm not going to give out too much info though.

I didn't have any "new" or "inventive" way of eating the leftover corned beef. I just put it in ramen.

Golden State of Mind

The alternate title was "Kickin' it in California". I might use that in the future. I'll leave that in the blog for future reference.

I ran into my friend today on the bus. It was strange because I was just talking about him on Saturday. He thought I moved out of state. I never left the state. I have done a good job on laying low like I wanted to. I can't just "appear" if I could I'd had magical powers or something. I guess my classes last semester didn't coincide with his. I would have liked to tell him about all those people in my memoir class. He did confirm that the anime he recommended was The Meloncoly of Haruhi Suzumiya. He asked about facebook. I really like to keep a low profile on there. I told him about how I don't want to be bombarded with reunion requests/invites. I have lamented about this situation in this blog. I think about 6 times. I did bump up me not going to my reunion to 95%. After thinking about it maybe I should raise it to 98%. He said he is not going.

It was like that time I was a freshman in high school and I had bronchitis. I was out for a week, and I don't know how it started. Somebody started a rumor that I had moved away.

I should take some advice from Hana and not deny or run from my past. Like she did in the J-drama I watched.

As I was walking to the bus stop I tripped on some gnarled tree roots and I turned my ankle. I limped to the bus stop it was about 14 feet away. I could make it. The thing I was most worried about was how my dad would react to it. My ankles are weak. I've turned them at least 7 times since I was 10. Never broke them though. It could be a culmination of old age, weight and weak ankles.

Shirley, my friend and I were all thinking about the same thing. Freaky! Or maybe it is great minds thinking alike?

After I thought about it I think I have the best 3 people in my mind to organize a 10 year high school reunion.

I noticed KTLA added a watermark to their Antenna TV subchannel.

I finished watching Prime Suspect, so I have much better note in case I need them. I have a really strong feeling I do.

Ready to go not to go to School in Thinner Shorts

The recent hot spell is making me feel lethargic. I’ll have to pull out my slightly thinner shorts. (A little Conan O‘Brien humor) :P

I went to the dollar store and picked up a few accessories. They might possibly be used for a costume. I picked up 2 pairs of gloves. A long black pair. They were made irregular. The thumb part is as long as the fingers. Well they were a dollar. I think my mom and I can alter the thumb part. I got a pair of “witch” gloves. They are just black gloves with long glittery fingernails glued onto them. I think I’ll add a clear coat of nail polish to keep the glitter from falling off the nails. I picked up a devil dress up set. It’s just a headband with horns and a tail. I’ll have to get my own pitch fork. I bought some creepy cloth. It is usually not suppose to be used for costumes and is for decorative proposes only. I think I can use it to make a creepy shawl or something.

I got an email from one of my former classmates. I didn’t notice it. I haven’t checked that account in 2 days. I accidentally found the message when I was looking for another email. Never mind it was for something that already happened. It’s like that time I tried to join the anime club and missed the email. It included some pretty dorky (unrelated) things. How do they expect to get the whole group together again? Isn’t it like Humpty Dumpty? I for one can say I’m not coming back. Well not by choice, but like I said before unless I fall ass backwards into some money really really soon I won’t go. They can have withdrawals before the class happens. Should I quote Glee and “Run Baby Run” again? I’ll ponder that while eating fries (or should I have international desserts instead?) and listening to the song. I got a proposal for somebody who really wants the group intact they can pay all my fees and stuff to bring me back to class.

I really liked this note Shirley recently posted on facebook. I'll also mention her new song "Lighten Up". It's a rawer song than the ones she previously posted. I like the simplicity of it. I like it more than "Pretty Horses" but less than "In the Snow".

You know what songs I’ve been listening to lately? “Ready to Go” and “Drop Dead Gorgeous” by Republica. “Ready to Go” is a great video. A lot of people confuse Republica with Garbage. Even when I was younger I could tell Saffron’s voice from Shirley’s.

Sandwiches and Summer

I'm working on another blog about Angel's Friends. It's gonna take me a while to write.

It's so hard to find work this week since it's Labor Day. I love Conan's Labor Day tweet. "It's the last weekend of summer, unless you live in LA, where it's the 198,789,960 weekend of summer. Chew on that, Halifax, Nova Scotia."

Poor Shirley, her dog is sick. :(

I'm applying for a sandwich shop tomorrow there is an interview too. I hope I get the job wish me luck.

44+44=88

Today is Shirley Manson's birthday! ^-^ I didn't do anything much this year like eat some Ferrero Rocher candy or birthday cake. I did listen to some Garbage and Angelfish songs, and I left her a birthday message on facebook. I'm off to watch some Garbage videos.

She wrote a response thank you note. I liked this part.
"I hope I am lucky enough to enjoy at least another 44 birthdays. If however I never live to see another.......... for who know what the next year will bring(?!)"

Another 44!? That would be 88. To me that would be pretty old. I hope I didn't offend any octogenarians reading this blog.

Truth in Karma

After mulling around in my head what happened yesterday. I was thinking about all the "material" that happens to be in my blogs. I know this sounds malicious, but I kind of like that my dad is being bullied. He is just a big bully himself and he deserves it. I'm thinking about truthfulness, and the truth is I like that this is happening. It's karma bitch! Usually I'm against bullying, but my dad's not all that innocent.

I was thinking about the truth since Shirley mentioned it in a note. Then I thought about people who "can't handle the truth". LOL! I had to throw that in there. Of course R. Truth "What's Up?"

This is actually my second blog. The first one I wrote was way too truthful and seemed really malicious.

I was going to talk about something else, but I forgot what it was since I got so wrapped up into writing this blog.

Silence into Fear

That title sounds like the title of a Miss Mallard episode or something.

My dad got worried because somebody from his school. I guess a fellow classmate said he knew all this stuff about my dad like where he use to live and stuff. This person also referenced me. I think my dad wanted me to shut down my facebook account.

For the record I'm not shutting anything down. I know I write about facebook, but I have never openly gave out the URL on here or anywhere else. I didn't really do it for safety reasons it was more about being pestered by people I went to high school with. Like I was on myspace. Twitter will still be open. My abandoned myspace will still be open. This blog will still be open.

If the person wants the real nitty gritty he should read the blog. Especially the rant blog. That's where all the "bad stuff" lies. The main blog is where I talk about inane things like Garbage music, cartoons I watch, food reviews, and things I get nostalgic for.

Actually my dad doesn't get that people can find stuff on people on the internet so easily. I know I did one time about myself and a few of my other family members for free. I could have seen more, but I had to pay $50. If he has been plastering his resume all over the job sites of course somebody can find it and reference it. Potential employer or otherwise. This is more of his problem than mine well he said the person mentioned me, but I'm not really worried.

Miscellaneous blog #36

I should hurry up and crank out a blog really quickly. It's hot and I'm feeling lethargic. I usually wear my hair in Shirley braids. I still can't figure out how to anchor the ponytail on my head as high as she use to.

I started thinking about how I've been in school for so many years and that I should try and write a book about it. There were lots of interesting characters along the way. But would anybody want to read it?

Speaking of school I guess everybody in my memoir class forgot to K.I.T. (keep in touch) with each other. I think classes already started. I wonder if the popular guy was well enough to return, and unwillingly get his cult started again. Don't drink that Flavor aid!

I'm not fretting about what I write Shirley for her birthday this year. Since I still haven't really planned anything. This year I'm keeping it short and simple. I'll let somebody else leave her a verbose birthday message on facebook.

Free Sample!

I was thinking about my comedy album. Which right now is a long ways away. Some relatively unknown artists and bands give away whole albums for free. I was thinking about doing the same thing. But that is not really a good idea to give away a whole album for free. I was thinking about how Shirley released only one song. (This was before she posted the other one.) Funny I was thinking about that. If and when I do release my comedy album I'll just put an excerpt of it up for free.

I haven't really said anything about "Pretty Horses" I don't know what to think of it. Her voice sounds sultrily. It sounds blues-y and sort of reminds me of a Mary J. Blige song. I will say the same thing I said about "In The Snow" with this song and that is the song doesn't seem finished. I mean polished.

I've only listened to it a few times. I haven't even let it scrobble on my lastfm. I will soon.

Shirley releasing a new song is great, but that doesn't mean August will be a good month. The month is young and I have a gut felling something bad is going to go down. (Like last year) My intuition is going off like crazy. (This will be a personal thing)

Shiny Ears

I was wearing too much hairspray today. It made me think about in junior high and high school when the kids would wear too much hairspray and have really shiny earlobes (cartilage) from using too much. Back in the day, and maybe even now kids usually use too much hair products.

The Kirby "artwork" is still there. @.@

Those boring people weren't in class today, so I was spared. Well they gave notice last week. Too bad they are coming back next class. :(

I found a fellow Frasier fan in class. I wonder who their favorite character is?

The teacher gave us a prompt that will work better as a blog than a memoir story. I was upset that I couldn't pull up a blog to reference it. :(

Of course I didn't read what I wrote to the class since it was a blog in the making. The funny thing was that popular guy said he didn't want to read first because he thought he was being a hog. Since he is my elder I'll still graciously surrender. He PWNS the class 2nd only to the teacher.

Here is some advice. Don't really associate yourself with anything. It will do you a lot of favors.

Anyway there is something really funny somebody else read Just Kids in class for the report. It's a good thing I didn't do a report on it too. Previously I mentioned that I wanted to read the book for class, but it was too expensive. As this guy is giving the report I'm thinking about Shirley. I was thinking about all the things she wrote about the book on facebook. At least I wasn't laughing to myself this time. It's a good thing though. I would have said "Shirley Manson recommends!" After class I told the guy that I was going to read the same, book but I ended up reading something else. I hope the class enjoys Mister Ed. Of course. :P

Read this for Daisy

I was racking my brain trying to think of cool/cute/clever title. This is not a name dropping entry although it might seem or look like one. Ok in case somebody from class happens to stumble on this uh...welcome.

I want to recommend the book The Los Angeles Diaries. It's a good book. I enjoyed it. I think if you like dark things you'll like this book. It's a good book to read while listening to Garbage music. Or even the song "In The Snow". Which made me think I wonder if Shirley has read this book?

It was an interesting experience. Never really had a Q&A session with an author. I had a few questions about the book. A lot of people in the class really wanted their questions answered. As for me it's not that I was unprepared; I was just shy. A lot of people were asking the questions I wanted to ask anyway. I just wanted to take everything in, and take some notes. This sort of reminded me of when I went to this career in the arts convention back when I was a senior in high school. Actually that is a really funny story, but I'm not going to tell that today. I was writing about; what he was saying, how I was reacting to what he was saying, and other random thoughts I had. I ended up taking like a half a page of notes. Not many people in the class were taking notes though it wasn't an assignment or anything. Plus I thought taking notes on this would be good blog material.

Ok here is some insider stuff I got from him. The company publishing his book and that was going to publish his 2nd memoir book is closing down. Does this mean his older books are rare? Just wondering...

At the end of class a few people wanted to get their books signed. It was a short line of about 5 people, and I was the last one. It didn't take that long.

I had to admit to him that initially I thought his book was a book about football. I thought the book was written by this guy. The author told me he gets that a lot, and also people who think his book is about singing. But I knew his book wasn't about James Brown the singer because is dead. Maybe he gets confused with them. Well they don't look the same. Plus James Brown is a very common name.

A few people were going to his engagement that was for the whole school a little bit later after class. It was too late for me, and plus I didn't give any notice. I was already a little late from getting the book signed. Not too late only like 15-20 minutes.

I think he wrote "My best to you!". I'm not sure I really can't make it out. He writes kind of illegible/scribbly. I was trying to decipher the message in the bus.

I was thinking about writing an Earth Day blog about the environmental fair my high school threw in 1999. That's a funny story too. If you really want to read an Earth Day related blog you can read the one I wrote last year about Reel Big Fish. Oh yeah and I heard some Dramarama today. "Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday to whoever's being born."

Guess what!? Career Advisor is calling my cell phone now! Well it's not as bad as calling my home phone number. My cell has caller ID. I just see the number and ignore it.

Speaking of Shirley did you read the poem she posted on facebook? Is that about her?

Happy Fryday!

I'm looking for some dry shampoo. I want to find an inexpensive one. That is one of my new hunts.

The new Jack in the box fries are more McDonalds like and that is not a compliment. They are crispier and usually crispier fries means smaller fries in width. Luckily they aren't as small as McDonalds ones. The supreme croissant there is ok, but it's too salty. It has ham and bacon.

Speaking of fast food. I think I'm going to make my own Double Down type sandwich. I'm going to use only lettuce and mayonnaise. Well besides the 2 chicken patties.

It's funny since yesterday I was thinking about Shirley blogging. Well it was because we discuseed blogs in class and what people like to read. Although I didn't mention I like to read celebrity blogs. Jim Ross and Shirley Manson. Well I wouldn't say I read Shirley's facebook notes in class. Somebody might try and friend me by that or something, and I'm not taking that risk.

There's Red Pen in my Notebook

My Veruca Salt CD came in the mail today. It made me realize how much I love the songs "Volcano Girls" and "With David Bowie". "With David Bowie" is probably my favorite song off that album. I've had this album since I was in junior high, but it was on cassette format. Now I can add Veruca Salt songs to my MP3 player. Another female fronted band. LOL! :P That makes it 6 now. @.@

Speaking of things that came in the mail I got my free uniball pen. You know that one that was offered through that facebook offer. I have to say that the pen is a good pen. It writes really well. I got a red one. Maybe I can use it for correcting papers.

I was going to write about nail polish, but maybe I'll save that for a later blog. Speaking of nail polish I was listening to "When I Grow Up"before class and I was thinking about the video and peeling off my nail polish.

I don't know why I've been thinking about 10th grade a lot lately. There wasn't really a lot to blog about today.

Onion Rings

The title makes no sense. I'm just thinking about the onion rings I ate for dinner. :P

My dad got the time change wrong. He thinks we get an extra hour. LOL! XD Actually the only reason I remember that is because the extra hour was gained in the fall of '09. I even blogged about it. It made me think of the Seinfeld episode "The Susie" where Kramer decides to switch to daylight savings time in February. That little mnemonic device rhyme to remember never works for me at all. I need to be explicitly told which way to set my clock by like a tv news program or something.

I'm horrible under pressure and I crack. Especially when my dad is constantly badgering me. I'd be a horrible spy/agent. Sometimes he can badger me to the brink of insanity.

Don't you hate when people try to take over the conversations? I guess nobody really likes that. Here is something funny that happened in class yesterday that I totally forgot about. It didn't come to me until this afternoon. Anyway there was this discussion in class and this lady was talking, and somebody (not me) was going to chime in to agree or disagree with her I forget which it doesn't even matter anyway. She says sternly "Don't interrupt me I'm speaking!" What!? I don't know I just though that was funny. Maybe it was one of those things where you have to be there, or it was just me.

I'm getting so frustrated with the stories I'm writing for my memoir class. First I was frustrated that I wasn't cranking them out fast enough. We have to turn something in soon, and almost all of the stories I started are not finished! The ones I have finished are a half page to a page long. That's way too short! Maybe I'm too much of a perfectionist. Maybe I should be more organized or something?

Speaking of memoirs have you read Shirley's newest facebook note? Maybe I should read the book she recommends. I have to read a memoir book for class anyway and do a book report on it. I'll be all "Shirley Manson recommends". No joke I'd probably say something like that in class. I really wish Shirley would write a memoir.

Leftovers

I did not put them in a jar. A little No Doubt reference for you. ;)

Actually I over looked my last few blogs and there were a few things I forgot to mention. So here they are in this leftovers blog.

Here are some of the things I forgot to mention. Ok, on Monday my dad was getting mad and needed constant tech support to use the printer. I still can’t stand the sight of it, but I needed to get ready for my first day of school. I didn’t have time to bother with his computer illiteracy antics. Luckily I ignored him and he just stopped bothering me.

I was so sick of him complaining about all the rules at his school. I told him “Just shut up and go to school”. I mean really?

I noticed that on Wednesday and Thursday the massive crowds at school seemed to thin out. Maybe the people who wanted classes couldn't add them?

I forgot to mention that I’m trying to come up with stories for my class. Anyway you are suppose to get ideas from anywhere, and I got an idea from a story by hearing none other than the song “Sunday Morning” by No Doubt. It was like I was suppose to hear that song. That song has a lot of memories attached to it including a lot of funny stories. Then I remembered that crappy novel I wrote back then that I could use for a source. A lot of those stories just need to be cleaned up. That will be less work for me if the stories are somewhat out there. They should really be typed though.

I've still be trying to figure out why I can't force myself to post on that board, and it sort of came to me while I was on Shirley's facebook page. I post things on her page all the time, and most of the time they are pretty inane things. I thought "Why?". Maybe it's because I'm in similar company with the darklings? Sorry if this sounds repetitive here. I guess I'm just trying to get my thoughts out or something.

Aside from still trying to get myself to post on the board. We have make something artsy that shows off your personality and bring it to the next class session. I guess there is a use for all those pictures that I've been saving for something...

Speaking No Doubt I've been thinking about Gwen lately. I had this really funny dream about her this morning.

You know my dad still doesn't know how to flag an email on yahoo. I have to show him like every time.

Miscellaneous Blog #29

It's the first of February. I can't believe I made it through a whole month without making frivolous purchases. I'm so happy that I could do that for a whole month! I got some good material. I think I will use this blog to showcase some of my collections. I various collections of various things I've picked up over the years.

While I was looking for something else I found this. Look at the name on it! LOL! :P
It makes me think of some celebrity, but I can't remember the real name of him.

Shirley happened to post a rather interesting note on facebook. I love the part about her encounter with Patti Smith. Too bad Shirl isn't like me and say inane and possibly incoherent things to celebrities. Well she is famous herself.
