Christmas Dishes are certainly one of my weaknesses!
I've inherited my Mother's love for Dishes!

My inspiration started with this Fabric "Tis The Season To Eat Chocolate fa la la la la la la la"!
I'm happy to say, I finally have a table cloth that fits my table of 10!
I can never find one large enough that fits my table the way I want it to fit.
I made my table cloth from three coordinating fabrics, trimmed with
Red Ric Rac, Candy Cane Stripes and a Chocolate Brown Border.

Wishing your Family many joyous Christmas Dinners together!
Come back and visit soon!
Tomorrow, I will feature more from

Can’t Read my Skull Face

I dressed as a grim reaper this year. At first I wanted a hip and relevant costume. I really wanted to dress as the oil spill, but I decided to be the grim reaper because I had never dressed as the grim reaper before. I recycled an old graduation gown. The best part was I got to wear a mask. I hadn't worn a mask for Halloween in years. I like the anonymity. I liked that the costume was recognizable. I've had way too many ambiguous costumes over the years. I was working on a scary voice, but it sounded a lot like Triumph the Insult Comic dog.

I was hoping to scare some people in Lady Gaga costumes. I came up with some lines for them specifically.

"Your meat dress looks delicious!" and "That is a delicious meat dress!" were reserved for meat related costumes.

"Can’t read my skull face" was a generic line for people in Lady Gaga costumes.

It was disappointing I thought I would see more people dressed as Lady Gaga I only saw 2 girls. I used the "Can't read my skull face" on one of them, but she didn't get it. :(

I had some other lines for some hip and relevant costumes, but nobody else came dressed as something hip and relevant.

Now I have about a whole year to come up with a Halloween costume. I haven't decided on anything yet, but I do have some ideas..

Here are some Pumpkin Light commercial screen caps circa 1988 to enjoy! I always wanted my parents to buy me one, but they never did. :( It was marketed by Joseph Enterprises the same company who makes Chia Pets.

Barbie Fashion Show 2009 Collection

I’m sure by now you’ve all watched the Barbie Fashion Show 2009 Collection finale on my blog, if not you should its so good! Luckily I didn’t have to wait to get in because I heard there were 100s of people locked out, even if you had an invite it didn’t mean you’re getting in. The line to get check-in and get into the show was horrendous, it was the longest and craziest I’ve seen so far. After I got in, I’ve been Twittering like mad once I entered the Tent, I spotted Diane von Furstenberg, Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou, Simon Doonan, Sarah Colette (so good to see you again), J. Alexander (Miss Jay) and Tarina Tarantino (so nice to meet you!)! Even though I was sitting second row the pics didn’t come out that good, the lighting was pink and the models were too fast I was also too distracted from the show haha. But I didn’t forget to shoot my finale video, that part is essential! By far one of the best shows, Barbie’s first fashion show was a blast, it was the most energetic and fun show I’ve attended. It was lots of fun during the show and after in the backstage watching models peeling off hot pink press on nails and removing extreme eye makeup- hey being “plastic” is not that easy. Each guest received a Barbie doll, a box of chocolate and a Barbie book, all my Barbie memories came back- I used to own about 10 Barbies but gave all to my cousins as I got older.

And let me know which was your favorite look(s). And not to forget to mention the fabulous Barbie PINK Christian Louboutins, they were to eye candy!

food pantry closes to the public

Joseph Sky Martin carries a bag of grapes Wednesday while leaving the Phi Theta Kappa food pantry in the basement of the Catholic Student Center at Belknap and Courtland. Martin said he uses the pantry to help support his family of four, however, the pantry will serve only students and staff at this college beginning next week, from noon-4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

History sophomore Angela Henry grabs cans off the shelves while social work sophomore Brent Walker moves boxes Wednesday at the Phi Theta Kappa food pantry in the basement of the Catholic Student Center. "I felt kinda naive because I didn't know it was here," Henry said on her first day volunteering. "Everyone is so friendly that it makes me want to do more."

Economics Professor Susan Spencer, coordinator of the Phi Theta Kappa food pantry, reacts Wednesday to the surplus of canned food available in the pantry, located in the basement of the Catholic Student Center on Belknap and Courtland. The pantry recently won $5,000 in a Pepsi Challenge and were able to buy new appliances and food. The pantry will be closing to the public for reasons declined mention by Spencer.

Volunteer Carla Calderon carries food Wednesday while volunteering at the Phi Theta Kappa food pantry in the basement of the Catholic Student Center at Belknap and Courtland. "You can't come here and just leave, because it's so rewarding for everyone," said Calderon, who has been volunteering at various food pantrys since 1989.

Education sophomore Richele Brooks looks for a recipient's file Wednesday while volunteering at the Phi Theta Kappa food pantry in the basement of the Catholic Student Center at Belnap and Courtland. "I don't like having to tell people that we can't help them anymore," Brooks said of the new policy requiring that only students and staff at the college may use the pantry. Thousands of files will be discarded, she said.

Kysean Ferreira, 3, waits to pick out a toy with volunteer Carla Calderon Wednesday inside the Phi Theta Kappa food pantry in the basement of the Catholic Student Center at Belknap and Courtland.

Volunteer Carla Calderon apologizes to an unidentified man Wednesday at the Phi Theta Kappa food pantry because the pantry is unable to serve the public beginning next week. "It's upsetting because (the pantry) helped alot," the man said.
