I'm just a Sucker with no Self Esteem

Emma’s parents reminded me of my blond obsessed grandma. Preserving the red. Parental stress can drive any child to a “quirk”. I know when my dad pissed me off I do my quirk. It reminded me of this old self esteem quiz that I read in a magazine back when I was in high school that said you had low self esteem if you are embarrassed of your parents. Stupid magazine quiz! Look at this girl she exudes self esteem!

I'm not embarrassed of both my parents; just my dad. Although he has given me a wealth of materiel to write about.

Redheads will be extinct soon, so will the white blond haired blue eyed male. My dad is an endangered species. This is true I saw it on a reputable news program. Maybe I should put him on exhibit like in that Twilight Zone episode.

What Kurt told Rachel was a variation of the “whole lot of middle” speech. I still hope this isn't a Kurt-centric season like the last one was. He's been the focus in 2 of the 3 season 3 episodes. There were a few other references to season 1. Like the Asian vampires.

Giving Mike Chang some character development was nice.

I guess the new plotline will be dueling glee clubs within the same school? That's what it looked like in the previews.

As I was watching that show on prohibition in the US I was thinking "I'm glad I don't have to take notes on this right now". Too bad that is one of the non-marketable skills I'm good at.

Better Than You!

The Price is Right showed more classic clips. Today it was the infamous tube top contestant and the first car given away on the show.

My phone is finally fixed! It took them long enough!

I was working with that dismantled dress and trying to do something with it. When I tried to use it as a clown collar it looked like something from Pagliacci or a bib. I can't decide.

Glee was good. I'm still soured from season 2. It's official Sam is gone. Too bad Lauren quit the club too. I liked her badass-ness. I really wanted her to sing "Skintight" by The Donnas. Rebellious Quinn is funny. "We Got the Beat" brought back thought of mandatory high school "rallies". (At least math class was shorter on those days.) My high school marching band use to play that song. They also use to play the USC fight song. Go fig. *shrugs*. When Blane was singing Tom Jones my mom wanted to know if she heard Tom Jones. I wanted to Carlton dance. My favorite part had to be when Rachel and Kurt went to the mixer, and they realized those people were better than them. Then it made me think about the mediocre and crude "Benard" comics I use to make in junior high. I should bring those back. The crudeness in the art work has a childlike quality to it. I think I drew it when I was 11 or 12. Kurt for senior president? I hope this isn't Mary Sued out! pre-rebellious Quinn would have made a good candidate. From what I got from the episode grade wise was: Brittany, Santana, Finn, Kurt, Rachel, Quinn, and Mercedes seniors. Tina and Artie juniors.

The New Girl isn't that good. I kept feeling like I was watching a bad impersonation of Liz Lemon. Liz is believable. Jess is not, and been around a few awkward people in my life. I'm giving it one more chance. Other people are comparing her to Liz Lemon, so it's not just me.

I thought the September 11th joke in Raising Hope was a bit distasteful. I liked the part when the family seemed to recall different tv very well. Sounds like something I could do. Especially when they referenced Family Guy because that's what I was thinking.

Yahoo Answers Doesn't Count as "Experience" or "Qualifications"

The Cookie Jar/This is for Kids line up looks pretty bad although I'm curious to see how bad Tattooed Teenagers from Beverly Hills really is. I wish they would have paired it up with Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad. I love that show it was so campy. Syd was my fave character. She usually wore hats. I might watch Mona the Vampire. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is not a bad show.

I plunked down another $3.50 on Glee merchandise. I bought the notebook on sale for half price, but why does the store have to stock the Glee school supplies next to the Glee DVDs?

I bought a pack of WWE trading cards for $1, but for some reason they smell like perfume or something. The bag didn't smell, but it did when I opened them. The cards I got were; CM Punk, Eve, John Morrison and Nikolai Volkoff.

They didn't call back for the Halloween store :( I guess being a Halloween contributor on yahoo answers doesn't count as "experience" or "qualifications".

The Death of Glee?

Box office reports that the Glee moive is a flop.

Now that other people pointed it out I noticed that the lip syncing did not match up. I thought it was just bad syncing on the theater's part. I remember seeing a badly synched Austin Powers movie in the theater.

I remember a few months ago there was a contest on facebook to make video describing how Glee changed your life. I liked the prompt and saved it as a source for a writing prompt. I had no intention of making video. Mostly because I have no video equipment.

Glee reminds of Mighty Morpin Power Rangers in so many ways.

Similarities:

Actors in their 20s playing teenagers

Concert/live tour

Was a really big deal at the height of it's respective popularity

On Fox (in the US)

Had a movie the non-fans would probably not watch unless they were parents or something

Contract disputes/characters leaving

There are probably even more things, but those were all I could think of. *shrugs*

I haven't bought much Glee merchandise. I have zero Glee songs on my MP3 player. I don't have any sound tracks or DVDs. Not even when the enticing sale price of $7 did not make me want to buy the "Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album". The reason I don't have any Glee songs is because a large portion of them are covers.

I went to the store in the back to school section, and there were Glee notebooks with season 1 pictures of the characters on them and they were $2.50! Maybe I'll wait until the back to school items go on sale and pick up one of they are left. I can buy whole bunch of inexpensive plain composition and notebooks and print out my favorite Glee pictures off the internet.

I think as a whole my dad and I spent about $21 on Glee merchandise. I got a calender for my birthday, a $1 Rachel dairy and the $10 movie.

The second season was really lacking it got all "Mary Sue" on me. Even worse than Winx Club and, Bloom is very much a Mary Sue. First I thought it was just me but other fans have been complaining about season 2 as well.

It really irks me that people are comparing The Monkees tv show to Glee. That is like comparing apes to birds. The only similarity I can see is that each show was used as a vehicle to sell albums/singles. S Club was more like The Monkees.

How long did Popular run? Two years?

Glee 3D Concert Movie Review

I think I might be blacklisted for applying for jobs at that sandwich place I had to turn down. I feel like Elaine in The Race when she got blacklisted from Hop Sing's. Maybe I won't eat there. The sandwich place will not be named.

The review of the movie I'm going to write sounds like those horrible movie reviews people would write for my high school news paper. Where the review had little to do with the movie, and would go on and on about a bad date or something.

I went to see the Glee 3D movie I don't know how things work sometimes, so I can sound like such a Brittany P. I decided to wear something red since that is the school color of William McKinley High School. (the school in Glee for you non-Gleeks reading this) I was also going to wear a headband, but I couldn't find the one I wanted to wear.

I don't go the movies much, but do 3D movies cost more? I had a $10 gift card, so all I paid for was concessions. The price of the movie was all of the gift card.

When I went to the concession stand was thinking of buying a Icee, but decided against it since it was early in the morning and I needed some caffeine. I ordered a Cherry Coke. I also ordered a pretzel. Why are they so buttery with butter on top? I like my soft pretzels plain.

When I got into the theater nobody is there. I took the best seat. I wasn't expecting the 9:50AM showing of the Glee movie to be filled up. I figured the Gleeks wouldn't rise so early.

Somebody sitting near me was wearing some coconut smelling perfume or cream or something. It smelled more like a beauty product than food.

The butter or butter flavoring made my pretzel too salty. It made me really thirsty. I was thirsty before I went to the movies.

When the movie started there were less than 20 people maybe even less than 10. It was mostly teens and kids with their parents. I'm nice enough not to subject my parents to Glee. They don't like it.

They show way too many commercials!

When the movie finally started it's like a concert and there are fans jumping. I thought they were obnoxious theater goers jumping up and down in front of me. Something like that happened to me when I watched a Pokemon movie. I think it happened at that theater. Then I realized it was people in the audience of the concert in 3D!

I was happy that the other people watching the movie did not sing along. But if they wanted to promote singing they could have made the movie like an old sing-a-long cartoon with the words on the bottom of the screen.

The movie confused me because were they in character or what? Am I watching Rachel, Finn, Kurt and Mercedes? Or am I watching Lea, Cory, Chris, and Amber?

I felt like Wakko in the Animainiacs episode potty emergency. I wasn't even drinking an "Abyss Boy". I was so distracted by having to pee I was not enjoying the movie.

I left during "Forget You" and when I came back Kurt was singing and wearing a white bow tie. What did I miss? (Gleeks help me out here)

My glasses were falling down during "Born this Way". (when I was writing notes at home about the movie I wrote "Perform this Way" LOL!) They were falling because my nose is too small.

I didn't like the fan stories. I wish it just would have been a straight concert movie. I didn't mind the backstage stuff, and the fans at the concerts commentary like saying who their favorite character is. But the Mini Warbler was cute!

I really didn't see the point of it being in 3D. The only thing I really noticed that was in 3D was the streamers, Puck's hair and the audience. Some stuff in 3D just looked strange. I kinda like 2D Glee. I usually watch the show on an old late 90s Mangavox tv. I may or may not get it in HD. I'm not sure.

I wish there would have been a mention of or reference to Lord Tubbington.

I really just wanted to see Lea/Rachel. Who was featured prominently in the movie. If you are a fan of Jenna/Tina or Chord/Sam you will be disappointed.

I think it would have been more marketable to sell it on DVD.

The songs get stuck in your head.

Does anybody know where I can find a song list of all the songs that appeared in the movie in order?

I give it a 7/10 cause I'm feeling generous. There could have been some improvements.

Maybe I'll stick to watching my No Doubt movies.

The worst part was at the end when I was trying to make a phone call, and I thought my phone broke again. I was going to roam the mall looking for an elusive pay phone. Then my mom came and told me my phone wasn't broken. There was a blackout where we live. UGH!

My Headband

I have no idea what I'm going to wear to the Glee movie. Maybe I should wear something red? Or a headband?

The one thing I really hope is that I don't get stuck sitting by people who think they can "sing". Then I have to listen to that person instead of the people in the movie who I paid to hear sing. It's not like I'm at a concert. Even if it is a concert film.

Goodbye Sam and Sunshine

Sam and Sunshine are gone from Glee.

A lot of Gleeks are mad about this. Sunshine was only a guest star. She wasn't a central character. She didn't even go to McKinley. Except for the 1st episode.

As for Sam I got a got idea about how to write him out of the show. His family decides to go back to where they come from (I totally forget the state and the glee wiki doesn't list it.) because there is no work in Ohio. And he breaks up with Mercedes.

Plus almost all the "kids" are leaving and I'm using this term loosely. Ok the students. I hope the staff doesn't leave too like Will, Sue, and Emma. The students will be graduating. A few Gleeks thinks this will bring the show into the toilet.

If I wrote for the show I'd bring in some new characters in season 3 that are younger and have them bridge the gap. Like they did with Scrubs with Sunny and Denise.

Who knows what season 4 will bring? It might be good it might be bad. What was my lifespan prediction for Glee? Oh yeah 3 years.

Did you know? Let's Talk!

I'm still working on the opposite which would mean I should eat less and be more tidy.

I heard this makes a good conversationist to start a conversation with a random fact. I've been studying up a bunch of random facts solely for this purpose. I thought doing that impressed people. But I'm not really sure I haven't tried it out yet. Does it work? Or is it too cheesy?

I received another set of get glue stickers. My dad wanted to know what they were. In that set I got a Rachel sticker (from Glee). He still doesn't know that she is my favorite character from that show. He thought I wanted to put the stickers on the car!? Huh? I can't request another set until a week from now.

Staged Kiss

It was funny when Finn mispronounced the word "nicoise"; more funny if you know that Cory is from Canada. Rachel is funny when she says she wants her picture on the wall of the restaurant. The joke about Rachel buying Cats tickets was dumb. Rachel should know the show hasn't been on Broadway for awhile. Even I know that! I think it would have been funny if it would have been Brittany or Puck who bought the fake tickets.

Rachel had a very That Girl esque outfit. It sort of reminded me of the outfit Muffy wears in the Arthur cartoon Muffy goes Metropolitan.

I kinda saw the ending coming a mile away. The way the season was set up in the beginning. First they mentioned where nationals was being held. They even sang about it in the season 2 premiere. They breeze through sectionals and regionals. Plus Vocal Adeline is not their immediate competition anymore. If they would have won it all the way there would have been no goal for next season.

Last season was written in a way that if the show was not popular, and then got cancelled after 13 episodes the story lines would pretty much be resolved. Quinn's pregnancy would have been one that would have not been resolved.

Pure Imagination

Glee seemed like the death of Jean's was a filler episode. It didn't seem to fit with the previous episode, and the character development of Sue.

If Jean died at 50 then that would make Sue over 50 years old. Even though she usually claims she is in her late 20s to early 30s.

What'd you do? Cut this out of a Magazine or Something?

The Glee prom episode was strange. Somebody older must have thought about their prom since it was only for juniors and didn't include a meal.

Why are people surprised that Jesse got kicked out of college so quickly? I know I knew when I was going to get kicked out especially when a person doesn't have the grades.

Nobody can get prom dresses for $5 even if they are used. The cheapest is probably between $20-30. If the glee club is so hated then why didn't the other students mind when they performed at the prom? Was Sue the only chaperone? Why do people act like it's a bad thing if you stag? Brittany is sometimes smarter than she seems when she tells Santana that the crown is just from a party store.

Watching the Glee prom episode made me think of the junior/senior proms I went to in my junior and senior year.

junior prom: There was some intervention from my mom and my cousin from getting me from wearing something too outrageous, saw a girl in a Jennifer Lopez knockoff dress, I wasn't really going for a 50s look but it looked like I was, I had to get an emergency cardigan because I didn't have a wrap, There were other outrageous outfits like a Mickey Mouse dress and somebody who wore costume wings.

senior prom: A lot of people made fun of my 80s inspired outfit (I really wanted a 40s inspired one), Some people weren't even dressed that fancy (mostly boys) There was live music, some girl was wearing outrageous eye makeup that rivaled that of Scary Sheri, The bathroom was really fancy, they served shrimp, they also served lamb, my friend's boyfriend ended up on the list of nominees for prom king but his girlfriend didn't, as a joke to my economics teacher (who was a Seinfeld fan) I danced the Elaine.

Each of my proms should get their own blog entry.

I was thinking of using an idea I got from watching an episode of The Monkees. Specifically the episode "The Picture Frame" where Micky gives a picture of himself as a baby to a fake movie director. I was thinking of doing something similar. I think I'll use my senior high school picture. Who would hire a baby!? Or maybe I should go and find a picture of a hot brunette and try to pass it off as myself. I just have to make sure it's not a picture of a celebrity.

I decided to be like George Costanza in "The Bizarro Jerry" episode, and take a picture from a magazine. It’s not like I need to cut it out. I just need to scan it. It just needs to be a good looking brunette female.

Fondue for Cats!

Glee was somewhat predictable. I saw Sam's plotline a mile away in that episode. I didn't think they would do a Fleetwood Mac episode.

That reminds me of a funny story about my parents. Before I was born my aunt came to visit my parents, and she wanted to hear some Fleetwood Mac, but my dad said they didn't have any because my mom doesn't like them.

Brittany's cat Lord Tubbington is really cute! And really obese. I liked when she interviewed her cat after Santana bailed on her. When she asked her cat if The Aristocats is an exact replica of a feline relationship. I wondered is this the cat she thinks is reading her diary? Or is that another pet cat she has.

KNBC had finally debut the California non stop channel. I hope it's better than that sorry excuse of a news program called News Raw. It took them long enough to launch the channel. It was proposed in December or January. Now I kinda miss the satellite radar pictures; just a little.

Good News, Bad News

I did get sent to the wrong department. I'm not really sure who could help me. I got paired up with the same counselor from Everybody Hates Counseling. At least this time it was more focused, and not about all the opportunities in America. Which are dwindling by the minute.

But the academic renewal rejection must have been pretty confusing if the counselor from another school didn't get it. I even mentioned to him about the strange phone call I received in February at about 9 AM asking me if I was going to take a failed class immediately. He agreed that it was strange too. He said the committee who over sees academic renewal is composed up of staff and the dean. After he told me that I wondered if that deranged reporter teacher was on the committee. It would be like one of those cheesy teen dramas I watch.

The good news was that the counselor tole me that I can apply for fall classes, and that my academic renewal rejection should not be a problem.

I have a no calling policy because when I did go to school my dad would call me for really stupid things. That’s how I broke my last phone, and I’m not taking a risk on breaking this one. Except for that my phone crapped out on me. It said I didn’t reload it when I did last week. It wouldn’t let me make calls out. At the bus stop I was yelling the phrase “CUSTOMER SERVICE!” into the phone. People at the bus stop were laughing at me. I needed to find a phone. But where? Since everybody uses cell phones I thought all the public phones are gone. They were hard enough to find in 2002. They are even harder to find now.

I had no idea what to do. I decide t just take another bus to get me closer to where I needed to be. This happened to me before, but that was when I lived at my old house so it wasn’t that bad. I lived close to a bus stop. The only bad thing was that I wore some cute shoes and walking a long way in those shoes gave me really bad blisters.

First I was going to go a store that sold phone cards for my type of phone, and recharge it. I decided to not give the phone company that satisfaction. When I get to the bus stop for the other bus I see it zoom by. I was not going to wait idly for another hour for another one. I needed to get home and yell at the people from the phone company and tell them that my phone doesn’t work! So I decided to walk back. I was tired already and it was hot so I walked slowly. I had no idea where I was going, but I remembered that I rode that bus before so I just followed the route. I knew I was on the right path every time I passed a bus stop. At least I got a lot of exercise. I walked a mile and a half.

I did mange to get everything cleared up with the phone company and I didn't need to buy more minutes.

Why did they call this episode a Lady Gaga episode? Really? "Unpretty" was ok, but it didn't do justice to the original TLC version. Everybody needs to see the TLC video. The breast implant scene made me wince. Was I missing something here? I think an appropriate song would have been "Bleed Like Me". I'm just a sucker for that song. I wonder which mall they shoot their mall scenes at? It looks familiar.

I think my shirt would either say "bad teeth", "brown hair", or "childish". Maybe even "tall" or "big feet" because I was very self conscious about my height and shoe size when I was in high school. When I was younger I didn’t like my nose. I wanted one like my cousin’s (who had a pug nose). Now I’m happy with my Paul McCartney-like nose. This was sort of funny since I’ve been fretting about being ugly, and not being able to get a job because of that.

What would your shirt say?

Purple Tweed Dress

Today was hiring day at McDonald's my dad got mad at me for "hogging" the computer. I applied to about 10 restaurants, but all I got were automated replies.

Glee was funny! Mercedes being a diva asking for a bunch of crazy things. I did that once too. The only reason this was on my mind was because I was reading old diaries again to get ideas for my comic. What happened to me was a group of girls I went to school with about 4 wanted to start a singing group. They wanted me to join, but I thought it was a bad idea. Their style was going to be pop/R&B. I thought it was more sensible to start a ska or swing band. Mind you this was 1998. Here was my crazy demand; I wanted a purple tweed dress. (If anybody knows their No Doubt history would know why I wanted this) I assumed nobody would produce it, and they didn’t. I didn’t join the group. They said I could be the manager instead. I’m not sure exactly what I was managing. The group broke up quickly due to inner conflicts.

Brittany uses a novelty pen it can be seen in the scene where Holly is talking about history. It was funny when she knew a lot about cat diseases. Well she does think her cat reads her diary.

I noticed that the guy who plays Vocal Adeline’s coach isn’t in 30 Rock or at least I have not seen him in the show recently. Maybe since Thanksgiving.

What I don't get about the benefit concert was that not even New Directions' family came. That was pretty strange not even somebody's mom or bother or something. Besides Kurt.

I got a call for a job today, but I got it late in the day for tomorrow. I'm not going.

Too Advanced

After watching Wrestlemania, and seeing Snooki I had a strange dream about Guidos and tanning.

I went shopping and manged to find a great Glee Rachel diary for $1 and I couldn't pass it up. I can use it to write about my aspirations and my crushes. J/K :P

I found some nostalgic glitter hair clips (90s style), but I decided to save my money and not buy them. I was just going to use them for reference anyway.

Why did the WWE announce a Wrestlemaia match about 1 year in advance? Rock and Cena could be good could be bad provided they end up wrestling each other and there are no problems like injuries. I really wanted to see Cena wrestle The Undertaker for Wrestlemania 28 provided Taker is healthy enough to do it. When was the last time they wrestled a 1 on 1 match at a PPV 2003? I remember Cena cutting a promo while he peed on a grave. This was back when he was a rapper heel.

Let's Call the Easter Bunny!

I was online looking for a very specific commercial I'm looking for a 1-900 or 976 number to call the Easter Bunny and it's not the ones on youtube I saw those and none of those are the one. I'll say it aired somewhere between 86-88. It had a very effective jingle; and had the words "party", "bunny" and "fun" in the jingle. My mom recalls a cheeky girl in the commercial saying that if the kids didn't ask permission they'd get a spanking. Apparently somebody else is looking for that commercial too. (Read the comments. The commercial with the bunny painting is not the one!) I really want to find it because I called that number.

I think my nails are too long. I got one of them caught in the keyboard.

I went to the mall.

There was Glee nail polish, but none of the colors appealed to me. Strangely there was no McKinley High or Cheerios red.

They upped the amount of the Sanrio service card now it is $5 instead of $1. It'll take me forever to fill one out! I bet the prizes are still worth the same. It went from $50 to $250! I remember the old cards that were 35 spaces or $35.

There was some ok Easter candy at the candy store, but it was fresher than the stuff that's been sitting there for months. Sometimes I poke the candy with the tongs or scooper to see if it's fresh. A few months ago I bought some stale watermelon jellies.

Another Glee Story

I thought "Only Child" was a good song and very relateable. "Loser Like Me" was really good too. I'd like to sing that to some of my former teachers and my dad.

"Big Ass Heart" was good too it reminded me of a Jeffries Fan Club song called "Another Love Story". I'd love to hear Puck sing that song on Glee.

I liked the use of confetti filled cups at the end of their song. I don't like the way the girls were dressed they wear a fancy dress with leggins that look is too causal for the dress they wear.

After they won regionals it made me wonder why they go straight to nationals wouldn't there be a state one first? That just confused me.

no title

I had this really strange dream about dead animal, and Finn from Glee was in it too.

I like the headphones I got for my birthday at first I didn't like them, but now I do. I'm noticing nuances in the music in songs like "Subhuman" and "You look so Fine."

To anybody who noticed or cares KVMD 31.4 is showing KOCE. Strange!

Emma fanart (Glee)

I made some Emma fanart. I'm somewhat satisfied with it. I think she would make a better chibi. It's ok I'm feeling artsy and this is my first piece of Glee fanart. Previously I had planned on making a Rachel collage, but I couldn't find any gold star stickers.
She's holding a sandwich in the picture, a pb&j one, and wearing her plastic gloves.

Afternoon Delight

Glee was confusing,

It was funny when the students were confused about the cucumber. It reminded me of when I took a sex ed class with a guy who was a lot like Puck.

I thought it was funny they made a reference to Jazzersize. The Prince song was handled well.

This is what the kids use to do when I was in high school if they were homosexual they would just tell everybody they were bisexual. For some reason the people at school seemed more accepting towards that.

Emma singing "Afternoon Delight" was hilarious! Emma is so cute! I'd like to draw some fan art of her, but I don't know. I wouldn't want to offend the Gleeks by drawing a bad picture of Emma. I think she would look good as a chibi. I can't listen to "Afternoon Delight" after seeing it sung on Arrested Development. The episode it was sung during was also titled Afternoon Delight.
