Garbage covering a Sunday's song (came to me in a dream) Which is nothing more than a hypothesis.

Jane lynch was a good host but not as good as Conan was when he hosted it. People say she is funnier than Lucille Ball, but I don't see it. I think Conan is funnier than Jane Lynch.

I think Modern Family is the Frasier of this decade.

Garbage songs to Strip To/ Weedin' out the Posers

Shirley was a guest on Ferguson.

She said she didn't know the song "Afternoon Delight" I guess she hasn't been up on Glee that song was sung by Emma in "Sexy", and it was sung Arrested development by Maeby and Michael at the Christmas party. In the episode entitled "Afternoon Delight".

"Vow" was the first song that came to mind for some reason. I think I was thinking about it before I watched the show. Now I'm trying to come up with a list of Garbage songs to strip to.

Here's what I came up with:

Supervixen

Subhuman

Hammering in My Head

Push It

Stupid Girl

Why do you Love Me

Later at the Jack in the Box there was this boy wearing a Doors shirt. He asked the boy if he knew who they are. I stupidly left my phone charging at home. My dad is weedin' out the posers with Doors shirts.

Feelin' Giddy

I thought I should incorporate something Halloween related into this blog. Since Halloween is in 3 days. I'll spend the next few days blogging about Halloween. Good costumes, bad costumes, ambiguous costumes, arbitrary costumes, stupid costumes, WTF costumes, and sexy/slutty costumes.

I was going to write about this yesterday, but I already wrote that blog about the Disney costumes. I want this entry to come full circle, oops wrong band! :0

Shirley confirmed Garbage is recording a new album. That would not be the best news of the year that would be me getting a job. (Sorry to sound self centered here. Bad me!) I'll get giddy and swoon over it though. I'm gonna try and look harder for volunteer work.

I'm not dressing as Shirley this year. My costume last year wasn't that good; I put it together at the last minute, but my hair looked awesome. That was the best part of my costume. Last year I really wanted to dress as the twitter bird, but I got sick and couldn't construct the costume. I'm not dressing as the twitter bird this year either. As of writing this entry I feel healthy.

I think I'll polish my nails tomorrow. Most likely black; although the color of nail polish I wear has no influence on my costume. Here are some more clues about my Halloween costume this year. I'm not dressing as a celebrity or some kind of pun.

The Lamest of Lame

Why is my dad suddenly taking an interest in what I like? He wants me to go with him to a comic book festival later in the month. I'm perplexed and I sense something fishy. He hates comic books they are "nerdy" to him.

I have some gripes with the KROQ Labor Day-to-Z countdown this year. "Q" was missing. Why not play "Queer"? That is the lamest of lame not to play that song.

I'm happy to say this year I'm not throwing a lame yard sale. They were just so disastrous.

I'm thinking about watching the new John Cena movie. But I only will if it is at a theater near me and if it is at one I can use my gift card at. Otherwise I won't see it.

Play a Different Garbage song!

I want to say something to 98.7 in Los Angeles can you please play a different Garbage song at the rewind at noon? The only song I ever hear on that segment is "Special". It's not that I hate that song or anything like that. It's probably one of my favorite songs off of "Version 2.0", and one of my favorite videos. I just heard it last week on the 7th. The only reason I know this is because last week when I was trying to rock out to it while my dad was bothering me for tech support again! >.< (but that is not the subject for this blog) Please play a different Garbage song. Here are some suggestions "Only Happy When it Rains", "Androgyny", "Why do You Love Me", or "Push It".

Aside from the lack of variety of Garbage songs played on that station another idea came to me (not Garbage related). I was thinking "What if I get annoying emails in the fall telling me to sign up for other classes?" That thought didn't occur to me until today! :/

Did I mention that some of the people were having withdrawals because the class was ending?

Absurdity

Ok first off if you managed to find this blog from being in my class welcome!

Now on to the blog. Did you figure out what the song was? I'll get to that later in the blog.

I stayed up late to see Jimmy Fallon wave to Ferguson.

I woke up from a strange dream about George Costanza.

I remembered I accidentally forgot my wallet. I hoped that nothing bad would happen to me. On the ride over there I kept dozing off. I really should have drunk a Mountain Dew for breakfast.
I was surprised other people brought food. I thought everybody was going to fight over the donuts I brought. I ate a lot of fruit and donuts. Donuts other people brought. Mmm donuts! *drool*. I sound like Homer. Somebody brought coffee and I don't know it sort of reminded me of a box of wine.

That popular guy didn't come to class due to health problems. In honor of his absence an empty chair was placed in the middle of the room. I thought that was kind of absurd.

Somebody asked me about basketball and which game that the Lakers were playing (game 4) and how many wins the Lakers have. This person was lucky; I know a little about sports. :P I wasn't representing in Laker colors. I was wearing something red. When I see somebody in purple and gold I think they could be a Laker fan or a Viking fan.

I was right everybody ate up that Glee quote like I knew they would. ;P Apparently there are some other Gleeks in the class besides me. Thanks Glee writers and Matthew Morrison who plays Will Schuester.

The song I recited was "Run Baby Run" ^-^ Did you find the clue? It was "fries". The funny thing was that people in the class were really into me reciting the lyrics. I didn't sing them. I wouldn't even try. Nobody was really familiar with the song though. Somebody asked me if they could find the video for the song on youtube. I was even asked which album it's on. I even wore something red. I just want to say something about the video that I never noticed about it before. There is something red in pretty much every shot.

A lot of people were getting choked up and stuff. It's a good thing I didn't recite those Alice Cooper lyrics. Or even some "Zero" lyrics.

"intoxicated with the madness
I'm in love with my sadness

bullshit fakers enchanted kingdoms

the fashion victims chew their charcoal teeth
I never let on that I was on a sinking ship
I never let on that I was down ".

It was a good thing I didn't wear the shirt that says "I don't care" on it.

During the sharing various people were lamenting about his absence. What could we do he was in the hospital?!

When we were getting ready to leave they kept taking pictures and dawdling around. The people from the next class were getting angry, and I wouldn't blame them. They kept taking pictures, and roping me in them. Well at least I didn't have bad hair. *phew!* I really wanted to hide somewhere, but where was I gonna hide in a classroom? When nobody was looking I quickly packed up my things and ran out the room. I was there so long I didn't even go buy my fries. :( Well I didn't have much money on me anyway. After I got the book I realized how thick it was. It's pretty heavy too. At the bus stop I was flipping through it. The funny thing is that my email is printed incorrectly in the book. Hope nobody goes looking for me on facebook or anything. Maybe it's a good thing the address is wrong. Maybe I won't get bombarded with emails.

Candy is Dandy

I've been mentioning all week about trying to stir up promotion for something. Well it was that book it read; The Los Angeles Diaries. Anyway since the publishing house closed down Mr. Brown has enlisted the class in helping to promote his book.

The consensus among my class was to somehow get the book into Oprah’s hands. Personally I think it’s a bad idea to do that. Can you imagine how many things are sent to Oprah to get her to approve them? What if we just wear sweater capes and listen to calypso music instead? Using a talk show as a vehicle is not a bad idea. Have him be a guest on a show. Doesn’t matter which show day time, late night, local or national whatever. Just to get his name out there.

I think it was last Tuesday or maybe Wednesday when I started to think about the song "Cherry Lips". It made me think about how the song is based off a book. Later that day I started researching songs that are based off/inspired by books. There are quite a few of them, and I only found the well known ones.

It was just something I was kicking around in my head that week. It made me think about that lame public relations class I took like 6 years ago? I remembered how the teacher or other people would bring in people (clients) for the class to work with. The majority of the time we worked with personal trainers.

The reason I didn’t tell the memoir class my idea was because I thought it was too silly. At least I didn’t say something like “Where fitness is an obsession” or something like that. Wait I’m working on promoting an author. That won’t work for him. Maybe he’s a personal trainer too. No, wait don’t answer that.

I ended up contacting Mr. Brown and telling him about my song idea. He liked it, but there was really nothing we could do about it now. I never told my class this because the song idea never really got used. I'd write a song about the book if I was musically inclined.

Here was my other idea I was going to try and sell the book to my sales class for my project. The assignment is for each person to sell something to the class. It has to be a real product though. It's a good thing I don't have to sell fake cola or some pants I altered. That's really hard. Anyway the teacher said it's really hard to sell something like a book. Not that I'm lazy (ok maybe a little), but I'm a novice sales person, so it would be easier to sell something else. Other things I wanted to sell that would be too hard were movies, bands, and celebrities. The teacher said they were too hard, and wacky. Yesterday I went to the dollar store to look at some things I could sell. I thought candy was good and cheap. I made this huge list of different types of candy. The teacher said that I was really into candy. Candy is like my drug. We had to get the item approved by the teacher anyway. It had to be school appropriate. She said people in her former classes tried to sell things like alcohol and weapons. Which are not allowed on campus.

I made a list for myself not look like a good student or anything. It just helped me get my ideas out. I wanted to see which things were a good idea to sell and a bad idea. When I'm not prepared and don't make a list I end up signing myself up for a bad thing to present. Trust me I know from experience. I've done that twice already.

We have to dress like a salesperson. I don't dress uh...well. Maybe I'll ask the teacher for guidelines about that. I wouldn't want to wear anything too outrageous or distracting.

I did not score a -11 on my test. I ended up missing 3, but the extra credit made it a perfect score. I just guessed on some of the answers. The questions are true/false. I have 50/50 chance of getting it right. When the teacher said I got a high score I thought the test belonged to the other girl in the class with the same first name. I think I gave the teacher a confused look.

I'm still going to try and promote the book. I'll just have to think of other ways.

miscellaneous blog #31

I was so happy to get the day off. the problem is that I tend to get distracted. I was suppose to be reading my sales book and I ended up writing an outline for a story I'm writing. I can't get into sales. I find it more pleasurable to write instead.

I should be studying I have a test coming up. :0
The 2nd book we have to read for assigned reading for my class. I thought the book was about (American) football. The author of the book has the same name as a football player. I was disappointed the book is not about football, but it is very enjoyable.

Doing class activities online wasn't so bad. I said I was going to write to Garbage music, but I wrote to No Doubt music instead.

Profit from Pain

It’s strange when it rains in April even if it is an El Nino year. It just throws me off. I feel like it’s December or January or something. The weather reminded me a little of when I went to the Ferguson taping. Then it made me think about writing that story for class. But I really want to write a No Doubt story since I haven’t written one yet. I don’t want it to be like 10th grade again where we had this class project to write a book about your life. The project was inspired by the book The House on Mango Street. I wrote a bunch of No Doubt stories, and my teacher got sick of reading them. It’s not like I was going to write about my siblings. You know I’ll be in my memoir class with all these Shirley stories and everybody’ll groan when I read another one. I'll try to limit it to just one Shirley story. The funny thing is that it is recommended that a person writes about their obsessions. I should really focus on 4th, 5th and 7th grade since those are periods I told myself I was going to write about. I mentioned 4th grade before. I guess I can keep writing memoirs after the class is over. Nobody says I have to stop. Plus my blogs the old myspace one and this one are chock full of memoir stories like the one I wrote about the roller rink.

Maybe I should write that story about writing about No Doubt too much for my memoir class. That'd be a fun read. Maybe I should nab something from this blog.

I had to listen to my rainy music. "Only Happy When it Rains". I wore my leather boot too. What do you know? I was hoping to see a rainbow, but I didn't. :(

I'm really getting this memoir I'm reading for class. It's the other assigned reading book. It's pretty dark. This is not the Mister Ed book I'm talking about. I'm reading 2 books at the same time. I really like that darker memoir better than that last one we had to read.

Which gave me the idea I should profit off the relationship with my dad. You know like writing a book, or making a movie, or a comedy album.

I accidentally hit some girl with my backpack today. I was weird she was just walking behind me at the bus stop. I swung it because I thought nobody was behind me. There was a lot of room for her to walk. The bus stop wasn't crowded at the time.

Cut another finger today by accident. The middle finger this time. So sorry if my typing is even worse. Both times I cut my finger while chopping meat. Maybe I should lay off the meat.

I want to be dependable, I want to be courageous and good

I get the day off tomorrow which is a good thing. I can catch up on my writing and my reading. I can also watch my morning drama at 11:30 AM.

It was really gloomy which is good weather for Garbage songs; the real moody ones. What am I talking about? I like to listen to Garbage in any weather.

I'm going to work on being a good person. You know more open and stuff. Not such a snob or curmudgeon.

My writing class reminds me of that class Jeff took in Community in the episode "Introduction to Film". Don't worry I won't be wearing a funny outfit to class. Although sometimes I do like to wear my Blair Waldorf like hairbands.

The teacher said she is talking 2 personal days next week. I don't have to go to class. Oh goody! But we do have to submit some stuff online, but that doesn't really bother me. I can write to Garbage music.

Steal This Blog!

I was up late fretting about my story for my memoir class. I've been working on it on and off since late Friday/early Saturday morning. For some reason I've been stressing out about writing it. I've been having celebrity dis dreams. I always have those when I'm stressed. For some reason the song Garbage song "Soldier Through This" has been playing in my dreams.

I want to address 2 things before I get into the meat of the blog. First I know some people were mad about Gwen Stefani being made fun of on Saturday Night Live in the "We Are the World 3" skit. Actually I though the impersonation was spot on. The singing voice was great. I'm not sure which Gwen era she was suppose to be though. Her outfit looked like a mix of different eras. It confused me a little, but easily recognizable as Gwen.

Second thing; I was going to blog about how I was looking for a new phone, and what a hard time I had. I ended up falling asleep, and forgot to write the blog. By the time I woke up it was already midnight.

Nothing particularly interesting happened to me today at school. The only thing interesting I saw was a guy who got on the bus wearing an Eddie Guerrero shirt. I just thought that was worth posting.

Chaotic Randomness Sent you Here

I woke up late and I was thinking about the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland (1951 cartoon). I know a lot of people have the new movie on their mind. I was thinking about the little song he sings when he is late.

On my way to class I found a penny and it was face up so I picked it up. Lucky! I was going to pick it up even if it was face down because it's money. I was listening to "Run Baby Run" before class, and for some reason it was getting me pumped.

My teacher looks like somebody familiar, but I can't place it. Maybe it was somebody I saw on tv? I really bothers me because I can't place it.

This class has a lot of old people. The problem I think I have with this class is that a lot of the people know each other a from a previous class they took together that the teacher taught. She said it was cosmic...something...uh I forget the exact wording she used. That sent you to her class. You know it's the same concept as "Chaotic Randomness" or fate or God or whatever else you want to call it. When she was talking about this I was thinking about Shirley and my mind just wandered. ;P

She wanted to know about us, and I said I run a blog; naturally. Although I didn't mention the name/url of it. You know in case I write something "mean" about one or more of my classmates (see below). The teacher said it was my soapbox. Isn't that what my rant blog is for?

Some lady who said that she's a cat lady thinks I like cats because I have a Hello Kitty backpack. I don't like Hello Kitty because she is a cat. I like her for what she represents. I like a lot of cat characters like Tom Cat Sylvester Garfield.

I'm more of a dog person; I don't like cats' finicky personality. I like the dogs' needy personality. You know if a dog was a person they would be pretty annoying. They would constantly want to be evaluated. They might get sued by Wade Blasigame though.

We have to read a memoir for class and do a presentation on it. Was Jericho's book a memoir or an autobiography? I think a lot of people in that class won't write about a wrestling book.

The most annoying thing that happened in class was that there was this couple sitting next to me kept having me explain the assignments, and I couldn't really listen to the teacher. I had to explain it to them twice, and they still didn't get them! After class was over they asked the teacher. I won't be sitting next to them next class, or I'll try not to.

I think I broke my phone. I dropped it a few days ago while I was trying to answer a call. I fell on the cement with phone in hand, and the battery fell out. It stays on intermittently. I don't even do anything to it. I think it would be easier just to get a new one.

It's already my 2nd day of school and I'm already tired of it. I sound like Kiyomi from the Japanese morning drama I watch. :P

Parade Pony

The title is a little funny, and sounds like the name of a kids' toy or something. The title is relevant to the blog.

Actually I had a back up blog in case this one didn't get posted. I'll post that one tomorrow.

So I made a bank account on my own. No meddling from my dad like last time. The funny thing was I was telling the banker that when I had my old account at Citibank they use to charge me for a lot of stuff even though I had a basic account. He asked how long it had been since I had an account. I mean it's been like 7 years since I opened one, but I closed it like 5 years ago. He also said that they don't explain the accounts very well at Chase or back when they were still WAMU. I guess a lot of people had the same question I did.

After I was finished opening my account the banker came out with all the literature for you about your account and such and a plush horse. I accepted it; I'm not opposed to horses or anything. I'm not obsessed with them like Lucy from Scrubs. As I'm walking out of the bank with it everybody is staring at me. I felt kind of childish with it. When I got it my mom thought it was some type of bag. I guess she thought it was a horse shaped bag? Maybe she thought it was a plush bag like the kind little kids mostly use. What do you think I did after that? I named it of course. First I was going to name it Rose, but then I thought I should give it a much more fitting name; Parade. You know after one of my favorite Garbage songs.

According to the tag on it the name of the horse is "Al". It's a promotional Rose Parade 2010 item. There are some roses on the bridle. According to the sign at the bank the promotion ran from December 1, 2009 through January 31, 2010. Perhaps they had extras?
Here's a picture of it. It's hard to make out the face because it's dark.

Now that I have an account. I really want to open a paypal account. When I do open it I'll post the address here on the blog. Who wants to buy my stuff?

Music Blog

Oops I accidentally posted a blank entry by hitting the "Enter" key. x.x

Here are 2 music related topics I'm going to throw all together in a catch all blog.

I'm saddened by the closing of Smart Studios. It's a pretty historic place to the Darkings. Aside from it being a historic place in Garbage history. It is also historic to other bands like Nirvana. Butch has a pretty impressive resume aside from his work with Garbage.

Too bad I didn't get to see it. Well you know I still haven't seen all the historic local No Doubt related places. It's not like I was going to Wisconsin anytime soon. Although I'd like to sample some cheese there.

I'm still working on my Beastie Boys parody song. It's called "Casserole" and is a parody of "Sabotage". I've only written the first 2 paragraphs though.

Casserole

Don’t eat it, you don’t need it
You can’t relate to the food I make
Your insults are really mean
Cause my oven door really isn’t clean
If you don’t want it then say goodbye
Quicker than the omelet I fried
Not blackened or made of coal
I'm tellin' y'all it's a casserole

So, so, so, so listen up 'cause you can't taste nothin'
You act like I cooked something made of mutton
I’m feeling really withdrawn
Good thing I didn’t cook you a prawn. Spam!

Free Day!

It's been a while since I had one. Not since last year. Ok ok lame joke right? I haven't had one since September. Not since my parents went to my grandma's house to get that junky Buick that belonged to my dad's dead uncle. Seriously I could write a long ranting blog about how junky that car is. But this is not the blog for that.

Since today is a free day I get a little excited because I don't know where to start or what to do. There are so many things. None of which involve chores or cleaning. I figure it's my time to "be lazy". I like being alone and having a house to myself. I like being alone; maybe that's an only child thing. It's fun to be a bachelorette for like a day.

Here are some of the things I did: sang "Why Do You Love Me" aloud, ate sweets for breakfast, decoupaged, watched Absolute Garbage, drank sweet strong tea, ate cheese, wrote in my diary, and trimmed my nails.

I invented a new sandwich a few days ago. It's a toasted cheese sandwich. Here's what you use. First you need some cheese spread. I used port wine flavor because that's what we had. First you toast the bread. Just used was what around, so I used plain white bread. Then I used the cheese spread instead of butter, margarine or cream cheese, and put the 2 pieces together. Maybe I should try one with aresol cheese.

I was thinking about working on my Halloween costume. It's never too early to plan, but then I thought I should start planning after my birthday. Perhaps if I start in January I will actually finish a costume. Something that I didn't hastily put together in 3 days.

I decided that I'd spurge in February and buy my self a little present. I do have something in mind. It's a secret until I buy it. ;)

For some reason I can't find any pictures online of the Sanrio character Roberta. She is a bear character. I had a picture of her, but I lost it when the hard drive broke.

I wanted to see how long it would be before I used the banned word. The "t-word". I was trying to think of a replacement word. First thought I could use the word "chirp", but then I remembered that is what the Boost Mobile phones do. Especilaly when ham eating pigs use them. It took me 2 days. 2 days! Damn! >:(

Since my dad went to my grandma's (his mom) visiting. I've written about her before. She is the one who conditioned my
blond obsession. When he came back with the presents from her I was dreading what they were. She is notorious for giving bad gifts. This deserves it's own blog too. Well at least she didn't put her cat in a box a wrap it.

I was very disappointed by Cena's appearance at the Fiesta Bowl. I mean it was nice to see him and all. He got so little screen time. I was hoping they would interview him for the pregame show or something. I mean he has a football background. He could have even plugged Wrestlemania or something. He looked good though. He cleaned up well. He was dressed in a suit. I liked his tie. He looks so out of place in dressy clothes. I'm so use to seeing him in jean shorts and a t-shirt. I mean he's one of the few wrestlers who are exempt from the "suit rule"; The Undertaker is another one. The feed kept cutting off. My dad kept blaming it on Time Warner. I have no idea why; we get Fox OTA (over the air). He just has to complain about something he knows nothing about.

The funny thing was I had cheese at every meal. It was like that time I had bacon for every meal one day when we were in the process of moving.

Aside from the blog about the junky Buick and the blog about the horrible gifts my paternal grandmother gives. I have have material for a blog about those funnel cake sticks and a full review of that bear speaker pillow. Oh yeah and if you want to see some bad Mighty Morphin Power Rangers fan art or read some bad fan fics that I did between the ages of 9 though 11. I'll post them here if you want me to. Just leave me a comment.
