February 2010 favourites

I've been so poorly sick this week. I've had a bout of tonsilitis which I'm taking antibiotics for (boo) and have got a really heavy head cold. I spent all of yesterday and am planning on spending the rest of today in bed. I'm just exhausted, and my skin is bloody awful - red and flaky and sore. I can't wait til I get better and am dosing myself up as I type. I could barely open my eyes this morning - ouchy ouchy.

Hope you've all had a better week!

Well anyway... It's that time of month again. No no, not that time, but favourites time!

Lush Massage Bar - Heavanilli
I never really understood the hype surrounding massage bars. I thought they were too greasy and impossible to use as a lotion - but I realised I was using too much. Fast forward a year, I've learnt how to use them properly and I am absolutely in love with them. This one is the one I've been favouring this month, and it smells like a musky vanilla rather than a sickly vanilla. I love using this just before I climb into my jimjams for bed, because I wake up with gorgeously soft skin and the scent soothes me to sleep. Perfecto! Oh, the pink bit doesn't make you pink by the way - it just melts into a lovely buttery lotion.

NYX Round Lipstick - Strawberry Milk
I adore this lipstick, so much so that it's got it's own dedicated post here. It is such a pretty lipstick. It's very girly and bright but understated enough for everyday wear. Pretty pretty pretty.

MAC 168 Brush
Please excuse the dirty bristles. I loooove this brush so much. I know it's a bit hit and miss for most people but it is the perfect size for putting blush on the apples of my cheeks, or if I want to contour with some bronzer. I can't wait to purchase the full sized one :)

Garnier Tinted Eye Roll-On - Fair
I did a full review of this here. I love this contraption. It cools and soothes my tired first-thing-in-the-morning eyes, and is actually a pretty decent stand-alone concealer too. I got sent this to review, but I will definitely be repurchasing it when it runs out.

Benefit Powderazzi Cheek Palette
Or more specifically the Hoola and Coralista shades. Hoola is a fantastic bronzer. It's a lovely matte, not-too-orange, not-too-brown bronzer and it gives me a healthy glowy colour rather than a 'muddy' look. It's great for contouring too as it's fairly sheer but buildable.
Coralista is absolutely stunning. It's only for the second part of the month that I've been wearing it but I have fallen in love with it. It's very similar to my beloved Dainty blush by MAC, but it has such a gorgeous gold sheen to it. It's perfect for wearinge everyday and I think this is a peachy-coral shade that will suit most people. Like Hoola, it's fairly sheer but buildable. MAC By Candlelight MSF looks gorgeous over the top of it too.

MAC Dazzleglass - Sugarrimmed
I'm quite late on the Dazzleglass bandwagon - this is my first one and I only bought it last month. It's already a firm favourite in my collection though. I don't know whether it's the Dazzleglass formula or this particular shade, but it's making me love glossy lips again. It makes my lips look nice and plump without being too pornstar-ish. It's quite sticky, but I don't mind that as in my experience, stickiness = staying power. Sugarrimmed is really similar to Snowscene lipglass from MAC's Chill collection, but better because it is in a wearable milky-pink base, rather than a frosty-white base. I tend to wear it alone but I can imagine it looking gorgeous over Strawberry Milk. Hmm, I think I'll try that tomorrow - if I'm up to wearing make up again!

What have you been loving this month?

xoxo
