Forex: New Zealand Consumer Confidence Eases In February

(RTTNews) - New Zealand's consumer confidence index fell 7.8 points to 123.6 in February, according to the latest survey from ANZ Bank and Roy Morgan released Thursday.

At the same time, the current conditions index fell 10 points to 100 while the future conditions index dropped 7 points to 139.

A net 15% felt they were worse off than a year ago while a net 15% see now as a good time to buy major household items, the survey showed.

The poll of 1,047 people was conducted between February 1 and February 14. An index level above 100 means optimists outnumber pessimists.
