I was planning a huge MAC order this week, because the Make-up Art Cosmetics collection is out (online yesterday, in stores today I believe), but the more I thought about the collection, the less I wanted. The only thing I might cave in and get is the Notoriety quad, but I'm not bothered if I miss out. I decided to order some eyshadows from the permanent line instead, because most of my MAC collection is limited edition or colours I hardly wear.
I decided to build my neutral palette. I have so many brights that I only tend to wear on nights out - which is so rare lately! I love neutrals, but found myself wearing the same combinations over and over. As pretty as they can be, it gets boring! So I ordered:
- Dazzlelight -Neutral with silver/copper reflects (Veluxe Pearl)
- Retrospeck - Beached blonde (Lustre)
- Patina - Muted taupe brown with golden shimmer (Frost)
- Woodwinked - Warm antique gold (Veluxe Pearl)
- All That Glitters - Midtone beige with gold reflects (Veluxe Pearl)
- Trax - Burgundy-plum flecked with bronze shimmer (Velvet)
They arrived yesterday and I am absolutely thrilled with my selections. They are so pretty, and I can't wait to start using them. In my palette, Patina, Woodwinked and Tempting all look the same, but when they're swatched they are completely different. Phew! Here are some obligatory swatches:
