Mini Haul

My fiance and I did a bit of shopping last night. First stop was Boots, where I bought two Barry M nail polishes that were on offer - 2 for £5. I bought 303 Bright Purple and 295 Turquoise. I love the look of them both. I've never tried a Barry M polish before, so I'm looking forward to giving these a whirl. I'm going to have a feet pampering session tonight with my Mam so I'll paint her toes one of the colours, and mine the other.

I also picked up the eye make up remover from the Botanics range. I wear waterproof mascara 90% of the time, and found that the only thing that would remove it was baby oil. It did the job okay, but it left my eyes really red and sore, not to mention the oily film in front of my eyes that blurred my vision for a short while. Yuck! So I decided to take a look after reading about it on Holly's Yummy Mummy blog. They were on offer too - buy one, get one half price. Score! At only £2.93, I'd have bought one regardless though. I used it last night and it was so quick and easy. Even with baby oil I had to use wet cotton balls/pads, and would easily use a quarter of the packet for both eyes, but last night I used two dry cotton balls per eye. It also contains Iceland moss, which soothes the eyes. My eyes were not red, they were not sore, and I didn't have that disgusting oily film. Result!

Next stop was grocery shopping in Tesco, and of course, a trip down the beauty aisles! I picked up:
  • Blistex Daily Lip Conditioner - I love the Blistex Relief Cream so have high hopes for this one
  • Max Factor Masterpiece mascara - loooooove this, it's the only non-waterproof mascara I will wear
  • Treacle Moon Raspberry Kiss body scrub - on offer for £2! Smells yummy, good enough to eat! I also love the Philosophy-esque packaging.
  • Treacle Moon Coconut Island shower gel - also on offer for £2. My fiance loves coconut so this is more for him, but I'm sure I'll have a shower with it at some point.
  • L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion mascara, the drugstore version of Givenchy's Phenomen'Eyes. Yes, the one that looks like a spiked ball. I'm so intrigued by this. I wanted to try the Givenchy one, but I hate spending a lot on mascara as I go through it so quickly - I'm all about the lashes!

This is the weird spiky-ball mascara wand. Interesting, isn't it? I may use it today as I've got lots of extra time to put on my make up. I have no plans other than to do laundry and to give my beautiful mother a much needed pampering session for her feet.

I'll let you know how I get on!
