My fiance had a severe ice cream craving on Thursday, so we nipped into Morrisons. Of course I had to look down the beauty aisles - it's a habit! I can't go somewhere that sells make up and smellies without looking. I automatically turn into the aisles like a zombie. In one section, I saw some Beautifully Delicious and Anatomicals goodies, lots of which were on offer. It would be rude not to pick some things up at these bargainous prices, wouldn't it?
I got:
I got:
- Scrubilicious by Beautifully Delicious Honey and Almond body scrub - £1.80
- Liplucious by Beautifully Delicious Coconut and Shea Butter lip butter - £1.20 (half price!)
- Anatomicals Stop Cracking Up lip balm - £2.00
It cost me £5.00 for these 3 things. Yep, a fiver! Apologies for the awful picture, it was taken with my phone as my brother has my camera.
I use and love a Liplucious lip butter already, in Papaya and Mango, so I thought I'd give the Coconut and Shea Butter one a whirl. It smells yummy and does a great job of moisturising my lips, but it feels a bit gritty. I really have to work to rub it all in. I don't mind that though. For £1.20, I shouldn't complain!
I picked up the scrub because I love honey smelling things, I trust the brand, and of course, it was cheap! It has quite an overwhelming honey smell when you squeeze a bit out - a bit unpleasant truth be told, but you get used to it as you rub it in. It is a fantastic exfoliator and my skin still feels super smooth today, even though I used it yesterday. The smell afterwards is beautiful. It is nothing at all like the overpowering smell you first get whiff of. It is a subtle, yummy, sweet scent that lingers all day.
I'm looking forward to trying more things from this brand. They have a Mint and Cocoa foot lotion that I'm intrigued by, not to mention other scrubs and body butters! I've seen it in Tesco too, so I'll definitely be picking some more things up during my next food shop. For these prices, I think it's well worth it!
I'd heard of Anatomicals a few years ago. I was reading a wedding magazine and somebody had given Anatomicals products as their wedding favours. I had been meaning to do an online order as nowhere near me sells it, but it slipped under my radar never to be thought about again, so I was really excited when I saw some products. They didn't have the whole range, just some lip products, an eye gel and two or three shower gels.
This lip balm was nothing at all what I was expecting. I was expecting a thick, white balm, similar to Blistex. I squeezed a bit out and was surprised to see that it was very much like a clear gloss. Oh well, it only cost a couple of quid, plus I now have two wicked lip balms to soothe my lips. I gave it a try anyway though, and I'm very glad that I did! It feels lovely on my lips (even though I'm not generally a gloss lover) and it gives a gorgeous shine that makes my lips look very healthy. And most surprisingly of all - it really works as a lip balm! My lips feel lovely and soft and also gives lipstick a pretty sheen when used underneath. Because it is a glossy balm, it can be worn alone and still look pretty. It's not sticky unlike some glosses (MAC take note!) and is long lasting too. Goodbye flaky lips, hello glossy softness!
All in all, a successful shopping trip. For £5.00, my lips (and my wallet!) are very happy. What are your recent bargains?
