There once was a turtle
Megan rescued from a ditch,
Driving it to a little lake,
Where we thought it could swim.
But instead the turtle sank.
And in its fastest stride,
Which wasn't that fast at all
The turtle went aside,
But we thought it needed water.
So she picked up the turtle,
Its limbs hanging out in trust
As if we cleared a hurtle.
Yet the decision to thrust
Came without prior knowledge
Of whether our turtle could survive in water
Yet she threw him in,
And splash!
Our turtle was
A tortoise...
