A bit about Skinies
When Jodie {Founder of Skinies} had her sixth child energetic nursing sessions left her desperate to find something that would keep her from flashing the world whenever her baby was hungry. Plus, lifting up her shirt to breastfeed was just plain cold, not to mention the fact that her baby would grab and pinch my waist to get a good grip. Ouch!
Jodie tried many of the nursing camis out there and she just didn't like them. The ones with slits would lay funny and make an odd shape under her shirt every now and then. Not cute! The ones with flaps gave her yet another clasp to undo in addition to her nursing bra. Jodie loved her nursing bra, so she was not looking for a cami with a bra built in and she's never been fond of the uni-boob look. She just wanted an undergarment that would convert her shirt into a nursing garment and possibly hold in that post-baby cushion until her abs of steel kicked back in. Then she could wear any tank or top I wanted over it and feel stunning in the process!
Jodie's light bulb moment came while nursing her last baby. She thought "if someone could cut the feet out of pantyhose, why can't I cut nursing openings in a shirt?" So she did. And Skinies was born!
My Review
I was sent a Skinies tank to review and I absolutely love it. All you do is layer it over or under your bra and it immediately converts any shirt into a nursing shirt. When you are ready to nurse reach under your shirt unlatch your bra and dinner is served! No more messing around with latches and flaps...Skinies is easy as 1, 2, 3! I love that Skinies is extra long so that it can't ride up while nursing, it also has a bit of spandex that helps keep that post pregnancy stomach firm and sucked in. Skinies is an item that should be on every mothers list of "things to HAVE!" I definitely highly recommend it!
