In and out

Hello sweetpeas - hope you are all well?

I am back in the land of blogging after what seemed forever. In reality it was only two weeks, but it was a pretty long and boring two weeks! Mr Lollipop bought me a snazzy new laptop lead on the weekend so fanks Mr L! I am tremendously excited, which sounds really bad but I didn't realise how much I relied on my laptop. Not just for blogging and things, but charging up my iPod, checking cinema times, and the most important thing at this time of year, compiling my list for Santa! I think my lovely fiance is also glad to have regained control over is Xbox. I have a sneaky suspicion that if he had to play one more round of Bomberman, Sonic or Worms, he'd have thrown it through the window, swiftly followed by me!

I thought I'd come back with an In and Out post for you :)

IN

New laptop leads - obviously. You knew I'd say that, right?

Christmas - I'm feeling properly festive. We've got some Christmas presents all ready to be wrapped, I've bought my sparkly Christmas frock, and I'm hearing Christmas songs a lot more frequently. Yay!

Parties - You can't have Christmas without the Christmas festivities! It's my Christmas party with work on Saturday and I am sooo looking forward to it. We had a mini-party last weekend and it'll be great to relive it on a bigger scal, but with all of us there and not just the pissheads hehe.

Weightloss - I'm not sure exactly how much I've lost but I've dropped a dress size. Chuffed isn't the word! No doubt it'll all go back on over the course of December, but meh. You win some, you lose some. My brand spanking new super pretty twinkly black frock is the smaller size so it'd better not go back on too quickly!

Rebecca Ferguson - I am in love with his girl. Her voice is spine-tinglingly stunning and her style is utterly fabulous.I really hope she wins the X Factor, or at least does well from it.

I'm A Celebrity - Ahhh the return of Ant & Dec, my two favourite telly boys. How annoying is Gillian McKeith?! I feel like reaching into the telly and smashing her head into a tree, but it's compelling viewing.

Gem - FromGemWithLove is one of my favouritest blogs ever, and I have thoroughly enjoyed catching up on everything she's posted while I've been gone. She wears her heart on her sleeve, has me in stitches with her humour, and she writes about real things with truth and passion, which I think is one of the most important qualities in a blogger. Plus she looks so adorable in her little furry hat. I love this girl and bet you will too when you go see her blog. Go. Now!

Ellie Goulding - Your Song is on repeat, over and over and over again. It's slightly better than Ewan McGregor's version, which gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it. It's just gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.

OUT

Coughs and colds - I'm suffering badly at the moment and if I have to take another concoction of pills, I'll rattle. I'm on antibiotics too which I'm not too happy about given that it's our Christmas party on Saturday, but I'll be finishing the course on Friday. Phew!

Clashing dates - Saturday is also a planned family day at the Winter Wonderland but I can't go. Booo.

Snow - We haven't even had any where we live and it's already pissing me off. I love snow, I really do, and it's not 'out' because I'm jealous (much), but more because I live on the coast, so even if we were to get snow, it's 99% unlikely to stick. So why, oh why, do the idiots around here insist on stocking up on bread, milk and potatoes at the first whiff of snow, even though it's hundreds of miles away from us? And in the very unlikely event that we will get snowed in, what do they think bread, milk and potatoes will do? Go off quicker than everything else, that's what! Unless they plan on living off mashed potato sandwiches washed down with a hot cup of milk? Seriously, stop overreacting and go and enjoy it!

Oops, that was a bit of a rant wasn't it?

And that's it :) So, what have I missed? Have you got any news? Let me know in the comments! I've missed you all, lots!

xoxo

Spreading the love : I Know What You Wore This Summer

I haven't done one of these posts in a while but there is a blog that I have been obsessed with lately, to the point where I check it everyday! Now, those eagle-eyed readers amongst you may notice a distinct lack of Outfit Of The Day posts on my blog, but that's because I don't consider myself to be particularly stylish. However, they are one of my favourite posts to read on other people's blogs.

Two of my favouritest bloggers from the beauty/fashion blogosphere (Gemma and Victoria) have collaborated and created "I Know What You Wore This Summer", a blog dedicated to OOTD's. This blog stands out from other fashion blogs though, because it's completely interactive and gives everybody a chance to get involved. You just email in a picture of your outfit, and the editors will update every few days with a mass of people and their outfits. It is such a simple idea, but an absolutely genius one. Not only is it a great place to gather up some inspiration for your Summer wardrobe and ogle beautiful clothes, but you can discover some great new blogs from the blogroll of contributors at the side.

I love seeing new posts from I Know What You Wore This Summer pop up on my dashboard, and Victoria and Gemma always have fun and cute quotes or songs as their post titles. I think you're all aware of this blog but if you're not, go and have a looksie - I'm sure it'll quickly become one of your favourites too!

xoxo

One lovely blog

I just want to say a quick thank you to Gaby for this award! I hadn't known of Gaby's blog before she tagged me, but her blog is sweet. She's currently doing a Project Pan-Them-All, whereby she has to hit pan on everything she is using before she starts using something else or buying a new one. Now that is willpower!

Rules for recipients:

1. Put the logo on your blog or post.
2. Nominate at least 10 blogs which you think are fabulous.
3. Be sure to link to your nominees within your post.
4. Let them know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog.

So I'm going to award this to these lovely ladies:

Spreading the love : MakeUp Princess

I haven't one one of these in a while, but I've been loving Chloe's blogposts recently. She updates her blog regularly and is a genuine, lovely girl, which is reflected in her posts. Her FOTD's are beautiful (but she has got the prettiest canvas to work with!) and she's recently enrolled on a make up course, so I'm really looking forward to more posts about the course. I can't wait for Chloe to start showing us some new tips and tricks!

See? Told you she was lovely! Go check out her blog and subscribe :)

Blog awards and tags

Over the past three weeks or so, I've recieved a few blog awards and tags and things. I've decided to do them all together because a) I'm lazy and b)... well there isn't really a b), I'm just lazy!

So first up is the 'One Lovely Blog' award. I got sent this by:
Phew! I didn't realise how often I got tagged until I wrote them all down!

Then we've got the Gorgeous Blogger / Beautiful Blogger awards, given to me by:
For this one I have to list 7 facts, but I've listed some facts about me here, so I'm going to tell you 7 jokes instead. I can't promise they're good ones though!! :)

1. What do you call a 3-legged donkey? A Wonkey (my favourite joke - like I said, I can't promise they'll be good! haha)
2. What has fur, legs, and goes 'Boo'? A cow with a cold
3. Why was the chicken happy? Because everything was egg-cellent
4. What do you call a man with a rubber toe? Roberto
5. What goes haha clonk? A man laughing his head off
6. What do you call a man with no shins? Tony
7. Aaaaaaaaaand, last one... Why doesn't Santa Claus have any children? He only comes once a year and that's down the chimney

Don't worry - I'm not giving up the day job! I can imagine you all groaning with despair as you read them! haha.

And finally we have the 'I Love Your Blog' award, from the lurvely VexInTheCity
Thank you so much to everyone who tagged me, and sorry it's taken me so long to actually get around to doing them. Slapped wrist for moi! Since it's taken so long, I don't actually know who has or hasn't been tagged or done it, so, I'm just going to tell you all to click on the 9 links above, and have a little nose at their lovely blogs. They're funny, informative, pretty, honest... all the things I love most in blogs - plus the girls are all gorgeous to boot!

Smile...

The beautiful Shirley from Meek-n-Mild gave me this award earlier:
So thank you my lovely, such a sweet award promoting happiness and smiling :)
Okay, the rules of this one:
  • Post a song that makes you happy
  • Tag as many people as you want, there is no limit
  • Say at least one thing about each blog you tag, that will make them smile, something nice about their blog that makes you smile when you read it! :)
Okay, so my favouritest song in the whole wide world that I can't help but sing at the top of my lungs to is:

All These Things That I've Done by The Killers. This is one of the very few songs that my whole family love, and it makes me happy because it reminds me of them and memories of Summer 2008.

I'm going to award it to 3 people whose blogs really do make me smile!

First up is the gorgeous Victoria at LilyLovesLola. I love her FOTD's, her honest reviews... and her adorable little pooches will make anyone smile!

Next is Yinka from VexInTheCity. I love Yinka's blog. She's a little shopaholic and I really enjoy her funny posts. She tells it like it is without offending people, which is something I really admire and respect in Blogland.

And finally we have the gorgeous Emma from BirdsDecorateBranches. Go and look at her FOTD's and tell me you don't smile! She is one heck of a talented girl and I always look forward to her posts.
These gorgeous girls make me smile, I'm sure they'll make you smile too xx

Spreading the love : SWalkerMakeup

I love watching beauty videos on YouTube, especially when I find a new 'Guru' and can watch a bunch of fresh new videos. My latest favourite is an absolute gem - SWalkerMakeup. I first heard about her from Twitter, but apparently Lollipop26 has recommended her too. I'm not sure why I haven't heard of her sooner! Sara is so down to earth, friendly and sweet, and she uses both high end and drugstore makeup, so there is something for everyone. It was after I watched one of her videos that I first tried my beloved All That Glitters/Woodwinked/Carbon combo, and have rocked it most days since. Best of all, she is ALWAYS smiling - which makes me happy. It's infectious, and makes me smiley and cheery (and trust me, that's something that very few people can do!). Please go and subscribe to her - she deserves more subscribers and you won't regret it :)

Spreading the love : Jennifer-Rosellen / Make Up By Dollymix

I have been awarded with this:
The gorgeous girl who gave it to me has been blogging for less than a month and already has over 200 followers. It's easy to see why - she is absolutely stunning and is a real sweetheart, plus she has fab taste in shoes! I'm sure you're one of her followers already, but on the off-chance that you're not, go and have a little gander at Jennifer-Rosellen's blog. You'll be hooked soon enough like the rest of us! Muchos Gracias Jen!
I am going to award it to the lovely Teri, aka Make Up By Dollymix. I remember I used to love her FOTD's on Specktra, and as soon as I realised she has a blog, I followed straight away. Her FOTD's are still as gorgeous as I remember and I love her honest reviews. She is training to be a makeup artist and she does gory special effects makeup that is interesting to see aswell. Please, please check her out. She really deserves more followers xx

Spreading the love : Glam8Babe

This is a quick little post to introduce you to someone. If you are a member of Specktra, (if not, why not?!) you probably know of Glam8Babe. She posts amazing looks and had a beauty blog last year. She gave it up and went AWOL from the internet for a while as she had some personal things going on in her life, but I'm pleased to say she's started a new blog again! I'm really excited as I've missed her FOTD's - this girl is so talented with make up. So, if you are looking for some new blogs to read, hop on over to Becky's Beautique, and show the girl some love! :)
