A Bit about Bellybuds

The idea behind Bellybuds was conceived bay a father-to-be and co-founder of Belly Buds LLC, Curtin Williams, who was seeking a better way for his wife to play music to their yet-to-be born daughter. 

Bellybuds are different from the other prenatal listening devices on the market today because:

• Bellybuds consists of a pair of simple, two inch modular bellyphones that plug into any standard mp3, digital music player or sound device, and can be placed anywhere on the abdomen. The circular disks gently adhere to the growing belly with a medical-grade reusable and skin-safe hydrogel. 
• Bellybuds have a fixed, maximum sound level strong enough to penetrate to the womb. They reach the baby at a decibel level roughly equivalent to a casual conversation and lower than the mother's heartbeat.
• Along with playing music, they can be used to share sounds such as recorded voice messages from loved ones.

My Review

I truly believe in the benefits of prenatal music. While pregnant with my daughter I used a device similar Bellybuds, my complaint with them was that they wouldn't stay put...there was no adhesive and so they would slip and fall and I soon got sick of keeping them in place. Bellybuds are completely and totally different and I LOVE that! Bellybuds have a adhesive to keep the "buds" in place while running, walking, at work, in the car, or at home. So no matter where you are you and your baby can get the benefits of Prenatal music! Bellybuds worked wonderfully for me, they stayed in place and were actually quite comfortable....I won't be using them mostly until later on in my pregnancy but they are definitely a product that I highly recommend to all expectant moms!
