Why?

For warmth and security. It can keep him/her from being disturbed by his/her own startle reflex, and it may even help him/her stay warm and toasty for the first few days of life until his/her internal thermostat kicks in. Most important, it can help to calm your baby.

A Bit About Aden and Anais

As a young woman growing up in Australia, aden + anais founder Raegan Moya-Jones was introduced to many traditional practices of motherhood. One of them in particular-- swaddling babies in generously sized, gentle muslin sheets-- amazed her. Even the fussiest babies seemed to sleep more peacefully in muslin. Despite the hot days and the cold nights, muslin swaddles helped keep babies comfortable. And, most importantly, the very act of swaddling seemed to build a bond between mothers and their babies.

When she moved to the U.S. and started her own family, Raegan couldn’t find any swaddles like the ones she remembered from home. The only swaddles available were too small. Or made of much-too-thick flannel. Or, simply, unattractive.

And so, aden + anais was born. And within months of hitting the market, aden + anais swaddles starting popping up in magazines, on blogs for new mothers, in virtually every celebrity gift registry, and in stores around the country.

My Review

I was sent a package of 4 Super Stars Cotton Muslin Swaddles from aden + anais to review.

Here are some neat facts about the Swaddles from Aden and Anais:

I love these swaddles! The star patterns are bright and cheerful {perfect for a girl or boy!} and the swaddles are so soft, breathable, and super easy to use. My daughter and I practiced our swaddling {to get ready for the baby of course!} on her baby doll and I was so pleased with how easy swaddling is with aden and anais swaddles! When my daughter was born I tried to swaddle but I could never do it correctly so my husband ended up doing it...now I can say with confidence that I will be able to swaddle the new baby! Hurray! I love the fact that the swaddles get softer with each washing...what can be better than holding a soft brand new baby in a super soft swaddling blanket? Nothing!
