I had a really miserable day on Thursday and I think it's no coincidence that it was April Fool's Day! First of all, I dragged my ass out of bed (reluctantly) to go for a jog, and manage to hurt my leg. It's kind of like a popping sensation behind my knee whenever there's too much pressure - urgh. Then my only decent kabuki brush broke. The handle came off and the glue holding all the bristles together just disintergrated before my eyes. Then, one of my favourite lipsticks (MAC Creme Cup) snapped and was too melty to be saved. Not the end of the world, I'm sure you'd agree, but frigging annoying nonetheless! To cheer me up, Mr Lollipop told me he'd buy me some new makeup, but MAC's new collections weren't online yet. Yeah, really funny MAC... you pranked me... Oh, wait, you're really not releasing it online before Easter? Damn you MAC!
I had to go to work yesterday for 2 hours (most pointless 2 hours but I get treble the time back in lieu - woo!) and when Mr L picked me up, he told me he was taking me to Cardiff for some retail therapy. What a sweetheart!

Anyway, I went to Debenhams and it took an absolute age to get served. The queuing customers seemed to be less of a priority than people just asking advice on eyeshadows or whatever. Even people who weren't buying anything got more attention, which was a bit silly. That said, it was quite busy, and when I eventually got served the assistant was really, really lovely.
This is turning into a really rambly post - I do apologise! Onto the goods, all MAC:
Blooming Lovely lipstick
English Accents lipglass
Industrial Pearlglide eyeliner
MSF Natural Light
Studio Finish Concealer NW15
Blooming Lovely is blooming lovely!! As you may know, I am obsessed with lilac lip products - I seem to collect them! But, this one is quite possibly my favourite. I've never tried an Amplified Cream formula lipstick before but it's really nice. Not as creamy as the creamsheen's but not as matte as the satin's either. It's really pigmented and opaque, and is more pink toned than straight-up lavender. It's nowhere near as lilac as Lavender Whip, but it's definitely lilac. So, so pretty, and it is absolutely perfect teamed with English Accents.
English Accents lipglass is a creamy pink with lilac undertones. I thought it was Snob but in lipglass form, but when I got it home and compared it to my stash, I thought it was more like the Bubblegum lipstick from the Spring Forecast collection. Whatever one it resembles, it's just gorgeous.

The Pearlglide eyeliners were a last minute spot, otherwise I'd have bought them all. They were just stunning! I've never tried one before and am really sad that I couldn't take them all home with me. I chose Industrial because it's a really lovely, deep navy blue, with a baby blue and lilac sheen. Quite possibly the most unique, but honestly, they were all fab.
I'm wearing it today along my upper lashline and it looks so pretty. I did put it on my waterline too (at my own risk, because these are not waterline safe!) and it didn't have as much impact there as a regular dark eyeliner would. It did look quite nice though, having a baby blue sheen in contrast to the full on navy/baby blue along the upper lashline.
Have you bought anything from MAC's new collections?
xoxo
