New Year; New Channel & a dog Wearing Pants

I sort of made a resolution. The thing I want to resolve just happened to happen around this time. Pure coincidence.

Too bad UTB 18.2 isn’t showing asadora dramas anymore. I couldn’t really get into Hitomi. I really wanted to watch Tsubasa and Welkame.

I was looking for some maneki neko cell phone charms online. They seem overpriced. Maybe I’ll go look at the mall. I don’t want to sound racist here, but at a store that sells Asian things.

Here is a funny picture I took of my pikachu with a frame that came in the phone. Pikachu, let's beer!

I’m planning a Halloween costume even though the year is young. I was thinking Superdome, but how would I build that? When it is Halloween 2011 it will already be next year’s football season. Which might be locked out.

I’m really only worried about ending up on a bad costume website. That would be so horrible.

I don’t know why, but this dog costume is bothering me. Why is it wearing pants?

Remember when everybody was excited for 1-1-01?

The parade was bothering me because the commentators kept mispronouncing the word "nori"

Busytown Mysteries is on 3 OTA stations now in LA, KCBS (part of the Saturday Morning Cookie Jar Block), This-TV(part of their This is for Kids e/i block), and on KCET.

Wubblous World isn't so bad even if I was half asleep watching it. Anne of Green Gables is the old series KCET use to show when they were a PBS station from about 10-8 years ago. I wish they would show Jakers the Adventures of Piggley Winks, or some kidmango shows, Bookmice, or Return to the Magic Library.

Meat, oil and COCO!/Free Day!

I’m trying to think about and reflect on the year. Note: This list was complied in about 3 days.

Anything that had to do with Jersey Shore
♪♫Glee!♫♪
Garbage recording
Shirley Manson's second marriage
The housewives
The whole Conan O’Brien saga
Lakers
Superdome!
Tiger Woods (overlap from ‘09)
The infamous meat dress
Lohan in jail
The BP oil spill (you had to be living under a rock not to know about that)
California Gurls (whipped cream bras and blue hair have never been so popular) don’t forget Elmo
Wikileaks
World Cup
Winter Olympics
Heath care
Saints Superbowl win
Haiti
John Cena getting “fired” and joining the Nexus
Giants win World Series
Double Rainbow
Disgruntled Flight attendant Steven Slater (“grab 2 beers and jump”)
Betty White
Alice in Wonderland
Inception
Engagement of Prince William and Kate Middleton
Icelandic Volcano Eyjafjallajokull
Christine O’Donnell
Chilean Miners
Antoine Dodson
David after dentist video
Angel's Friends coming to the US
TSA Groping
Justin Bieber
ipad
The Bell city council scandal
Discovery Channel guy
The elections for US Congress
Arizona immigration
Meg Whitman (California only)

I’m thinking about things a lot of people remember and not things I would remember. Not a lot of people remember the presentation I did on tootsie rolls or the story I wrote about a possum. Or my Halloween memories.

I got a free day today!

I ate my toasted cheese sandwich early in the morning. I also ate onion dip and summer sausage for breakfast. I did because I thought my dad left early, but he really went to the store. After he officially left. I got to work. I had to do chores this time since I'm on thin ice. Listened to "Why do you Love Me" aloud. I never really get to do that anymore. I also sang some other songs aloud too really loudly. (I'm not naming the songs. They weren't Garbage songs.)

After jumping on the bed to "Sex is not the Enemy" and realizing it wasn't as gratifying as I thought it would be. I didn't want to jump too high because the bed I have now is really high off the ground. I don't want to go around telling people I hit my head on the ceiling jumping on my bed to the song "Sex is not the Enemy". After I did that I quickly tweeted about it. "Jumping on the bed to 'Sex is not the Enemy' was not as gratifing as I thoght it would be :("

I was looking over something I wrote in March and my handwriting is so messy I can't even decipher it. I think I wrote something about Cameron from the Sarah Connor Chronicles, but it might say "Camry". I'm not sure. Another thing I wrote was about finding my way through the school and the different hallways.

The list of banned words is out. I use a lot of them way too much! Doh! What an "Epic Fail"! @o@ Does this mean I can't say "I failed college algebra" or "If you don't write that term paper on termites for your biology class you're gonna fail"? I didn't even know what "BFF" meant until 7th grade. I thought it was the name of a local gang or something. Don't tell the Trollz about his. Where I went to junior high and high school there was a gang that had the initials S.K.A. so when ever people would have ska items (related to the music) people would think they were in that gang. I'm sad "back story" is a banned word I've been using it since the late 90s/early 2000s. :( I'd better stop saying "Google myself" it just sounds wrong. "I'm just sayin'" has been worn out since Shane Helms was overusing it on WWE programming. If "A-ha moment" is banned then why isn't the phrase "take on me"?

I got some hair clips from my grandma. At least it wasn't some small clothes. I think it better when she gives me something that doesn't have a size like some kind of trinket or knick knack. I liked the way they look. They look very 90s. I wasn't sure what to do with them until I started reading an old fashion magazine; a February issue. I thought I could wear the clips for Valentine's Day. They have hearts on them. I tweeted about my gift "Didn't get small clothes from grandma. I got some hairclips. At least they fit."

My prediction was partially correct my dad got a 17 1/2 neck size shirt. He usually gets a 17 neither size fits him. He also got a jacket, but he said it fit him.

I'll be waiting to see what KCET will be showing tomorrow.

Hello to my new follower.

New Year New Blog (post)

I'm going to be working on this blog throughout the day.

First off I want to say that after seeing the tag #10yearsago on twitter it prompted me to read my old dairy from 10 years ago when I wrote about new years eve 1999 and new years day 2000. Most of the entry from 1999 was about watching New Years celebrations all over the world.

My song of 1999 was...guess; ok it was "New" by No Doubt.

I wrote about Letterman's predictions. (For some reason they are hard to read on the official CBS site. Just highlight them)

What the hell I'll just post them here. But now looking back at them them were just dumb I don't know why I thought they were so funny. I was 15 and stupid.

Top Ten Effects of Y2K

Stuff's gonna 'splode. The Big Dipper will fall out of the sky and kill a guy in Sweden.

Everyone's voice will suddenly sound exactly like mine. Michael Jackson will finally look in the mirror and say, "My God, what the hell is wrong with me?" There will be a new letter added to the English alphabet--"Ngeepee." A computer glitch will force Bill Gates to pay off every American's credit card. No more answering the phone by saying: "Yello!"

Every kid will lose interest in that Pokemon crap. Ricky Martin will become even more "mantastic." Despite assurances from high-ranking officials that it could not happen, refuting decades of conventional scientific wisdom, flying the in the face of smug predictions by so-called experts, Kraft Macaroni & Cheese will become even cheesier. On the plus side, kitties will be slightly cuter.
Dog and cats will have to be re-neutered. That Regis show will be called "Who Wants A Gallon of Pure Water and Some Ammo?" Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen will grow 50 feet tall and begin eating people. Even if you're wearing neither shirt nor shoes, you may actually get service. The "g" in "gnome" will no longer be silent. Wednesday and Thursday will switch places.

ATM machines will now dispense cash in "original" or "mesquite barbecue." Census computers will change every name in America to Tony Danza. Jumping on a trampoline will no longer be fun. The sun won't work until next Thursday. Let's just say Ellen and Anne will be back on our team again. Those aliens they're storing in Area 51 will come back to life, and boy will they be pissed. Let's just say you folks in Iowa better know how to swim.

Ok enough about what I thought about 10 years ago. You know what if I'm not buy in April I have a fun little blog I'll post reminiscing about something that happened to me 10 years ago.

The New Years Eve show on Fox was pretty bad. Showing highlights from the Billboard awards from the past decade? Tell me if you know what is wrong with that statement? The award ceremony hasn't been televised since 2006. That was the last year. So they'd only have 6 years of moments. Well at least it's better than the shows they had been showing the previous few years that were just promoting their bowl games. Fox what happened to you!? You use to be so edgy remember that? I miss when they use to have Penn and Teller.

I didn't make any resolutions this year because I usually break them anyway. I think my record is 3 days. I was on a diet for 3 days. This was a long time ago though back when I was in junior high. The ushering in of a new year does not dictate that you should improve yourself. Anyway I'm still working on; having better hair, dressing more age appropriate, finishing college, and committing to a major.

The funny thing about a new year is that starting on the first pretty much everything is "last year". Too bad you can't have "items from the future". Then you would never have things that are "last year".

Oh goody! The list of banned words it out. I'll make sure not to use them. Oh! Too late! I already did in one of my tags! DAMN! >:( For the record nobody should use the word "chillaxin'" ever! Not even the 4Kids dub Musa. (Let me throw up now). If you use the word "transparent"/"transparency" in it's correct usage is it bad? Ex: Do you have a transparency for the overhead projector? Well in 2008 I almost did it, but started using the word "random" towards the end of the year. (Bad Me!)

I'll leave you with one last thought. How long will it be before getting nostalgic for the 90s becomes common place? Especially since the 90s kids are entering college now. I've been nostalgic for it since about 2003. As long as I don't end up on a make over show because I'm accused of "living in the 90s". *whispers* I never really left it. LOL! :P

End of the Year Blog

You know I was going to write an end of the year blog, but I thought this year was pretty crappy. To be honest I really don't want to look back on it. Plus I'm feeling lazy and don't feel like really writing a blog anyway.

Misinformed Tourists (a Rose Parade Blog)

On Sunday in the Tribune there was suppose to be a magazine insert for the Rose Parade. It's a helpful little magazine for tourists and stuff. It has information on such things as the parade float order, the game and the queen and the court.

Well anyway my dad went looking for one. He called up the newspaper office. According to him they told him that they only put that magazine in there for subscribers now. HOW STUPID! What are the tourists suppose to use for informative parade information? And why did they put an ad on their front page advertising the magazine? It's not like they subscribe to the Tribune. I guess that was a cost cutting measure since they are Bankrupt. I think? I know they are hurting for sure. He had to pay $1 for the magazine.

Speaking of things affiliated with the Tribune. I'll be watching the parade coverage on KTLA. They are the only English language station that does local coverage. A lot of people get mad at me because I don't watch the Spanish language telecast, but I'm sorry I don't understand Spanish very well and I'm sorry if that offends you. You know parade banter is pretty easy to write. I mean that was made fun of in a Christmas Frasier episode. Frasier wrote his own parade banter. The station I use to like watching when they did local parade coverage was KTTV. They use to do a lot of gimmicky things. I remember one year the parade was in "3-D", but when I watched it with the glasses it didn't look very 3-D at all. This was a long time ago like back in the 80s. When I use to live in Rosemead I use to hear the jet planes from the parade fly over my house. Well I did live in a flight path anyway.

I remember one year I think it was 2000 it was nearing 2001. My cousin and I wen to Knott's Berry Farm just to hang out and stuff during the afternoon. That day Disneyland was so overcrowded with tourists they had to close it down. (it was filled to capacity and they didn't let anymore people in the park). I guess the over spill went there. The place was filled with Washington Husky fans. If I recall I didn't see many Perdue fan there. Well Washington is closer than Perdue.

The Rose Parade is a good place to go when you are ingoing somebody, and then post picture of yourself there on the Internet. This person was in the crowd watching it, and not actually in the parade. Actually if they were in it that would have been a better more believable story.
