10 Reasons I want to visit Virginia Beach

  My family and I have been longing for a vacation away from the stresses of daily life. We want to visit somewhere that is family friendly and driving distance from where we live. I have been looking into a few different locations but I have kept coming back to Virginia Beach. Why? Well let me explain below...


10 Reasons I want to visit Virginia Beach
1. The best time to visit Virginia Beach is in the months April-October...so July is the perfect month to go!
2. With 20 miles of uninterrupted sand beaches and a boardwalk whats not to love?
3. The Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science center is a fun getaway for the whole family. Harbour Seals, Loggerhead Turtles, and many other types of sea life call this place home.
4. Pembroke Mall-Shopping anyone? Pembroke mall features a movie theater, Sears, Kohls, Steinmart, and many other shops to keep you busy!
5. Good Food! Virginia Beach has a plethora of amazing restaurants featuring fresh seafood! Yum! Some of the most popular restaurants are Tiki Island Bar and Grill, Captain George's Seafood, Mahi Mah's, and Catch31.
6. Ahoy there! Virginia Beach has an exact replica of a 65 foot Spanish Galleon called the Lost Pearl. The fun kid-friendly attraction is called Captain Jack's Pirate Ship where kids can participate in firing water canons from the ship, dancing and singing {pirate style, of course!} and eating fun snacks {because a Pirate needs to eat too!}
7. Busch Garden's Williamsburg is only 60 miles away from Virginia Beach and features rollercoasters, theatrical attractions, and much, much more!
8. Want to see a whale? Well you are in luck! Well, sort of. If you would like to see the Humpback Whales you will need to plan your Virginia Beach vacation for the winter months as December through March are the ideal months to see these gorgeous creatures migrate.
9. Want to see some Dolphins instead? Bottlenose dolphins can be seen in the Chesapeake Bay area, as well as  in the Atlantic Ocean. They usually travel in groups of 12 and the the best months to spot dolphins are normally June to early September.
10. The Spirit of Norfolk Cruise. Enjoy some romance on your vacation by taking a cruise on the Spirit of Norfolk. Take a moonlight cruise, while enjoying a delicious dinner, and the twinkling lights of Norfolk...!


  So those are some of the reasons I keep coming back to Virginia Beach as our vacation destination for this year.  Virginia Beach is full of fun and exciting things for the kids and the adults.
