A blog is a combination of two words: web and log and is a type or part of a website. Separate them thus and: web-log = we - b - log = we - blog (Wikipedia).
Today, 31st August, is Blog Day. It was created with the belief that bloggers should have one day dedicated to getting to know other bloggers from other countries and areas of interest.
The designated date is August 31, because when written, the numbers 3108 resemble the word, 'Bl0g'. I thought the numbers 3l06 are more appropriate, so shouldn't it be 3l0G, or 31 June every year? Anyway...
Today, bloggers recommend five new ones to their visitors, so that readers discover new, previously unknown blogs. They are listed on the right bar below so if you have blogs to recommend please do so on the Comment page.
I have highlighted four of them but they are very popular ones. "On a day like today, we pass the time away, writing..."
