You may have heard of the Snuggie but this my friends is the real deal...

The Slanket is made from heavy fleece unlike the Snuggie which is made of cheap light-weight material {sorry Snuggie lovers but its true!}

What is The Slanket?

The Slanket is a gigantic fleece blanket with sleeves. A very soft to the touch, lightweight, but warm fleece blanket with large, loose sleeves designed so you don't feel like you're wearing the blanket, simply wrapped up in its wonder. The Slanket is designed to keep your entire body covered and cozy while you still retain the use of your hands. Simplistic and practical, its innovativeness opens up possibilities, but still can replace any normal blanket.

A Bit About The Slanket

One subzero night in 1998 during his first semester of college Gary could not escape Maine's winter bite. While watching Late Night with Conan O'Brien he decided he needed to tear a hole in my sleeping bag so that he could keep his upper body warm as he channel surfed during the commercial breaks. During Christmas vacation he commissioned the first Slanket to be made by his mother...and it was born.

My Review

I found out about The Slanket because I couldn't stand the Snuggies {that were all the rage!}. The Snuggies were made of cheap material and please how could it keep anyone warm or comfortable? There had to be something much better...oh there was...there really was. The Slanket was just what I was hoping for and more!

I was sent The Slanket in Burgundy Wine to review. The Slanket is thick, heavy, and well made. The Slanket is rather large so it can be wrapped around you a few times for extra warmth and comfort. The arm holes allow you to change channels, read a book or magazine, drink your beverage, eat, or type away on the computer without leaving the warm and plush blanket. The Slanket has become a VERY popular item in my home...especially on those chilly days and I highly recommend getting one yourself!
