Big Fat Hen Review and Giveaway

I am constantly on the lookout for gorgeous baby items. My friends are constantly asking me for recommendations on where I get blankets, bibs, etc. It is very difficult to find a company that offers beautiful items that are made well without spending a lot of money....and then I found Big Fat Hen.

Big Fat Hen carries sleep sacks, mini tag blankets, blankets, and bibs that are beautiful and won't cost you an arm and a leg. 

A Bit about Big Fat Hen

Big Fat Hen is based in Calgary, Alberta Canada and is run by a mother/daughter team. In 2008 they searched for the perfect bedding in anticipation of a new addition to their family. They turned up empty handed, so they decided to turn their hand to design. They of course got rave reviews and started listening to what parents wanted; and they began creating blankets and other baby products that would appeal to parents looking for fresh, fun and functional designs.

Along with many other families they have become more aware of environmental issues and alarmed at the impact pesticides and chemicals are having on children and the world in general. So starting in 2010 Big Fat Hen began turning their creative energy and manufacturing efforts towards producing 100% organic cotton sleep sacks for babies that are not only safe for the babies but also created a safer world.

Big Fat Hen sent me a gorgeous mini and bib in Bailey Dot fabric. The bib and the mini are gorgeous and would be a fantastic addition to ANY nursery. The fabric is adorable {Brown with pink dots}, super soft, and wonderfully made. My favorite feature of the mini is the super soft backing-it feels like a big cotton ball! My daughter absolutely loves carrying her mini around with her and loves to cuddle up to it at night. The bib still looks brand new after being used and washed a number of times, which is a welcome change from the many bibs that stain way too easily! I love my  Big Fat Hen items and would highly recommend these to new moms { any of the items would make adorable baby shower or birthday gifts as well!}.
