Top 20 Malaysia Facebook Trusted Sellers

Nowadays, many Malaysian like to buy item via Facebook. Maybe because it is easy since they can chat with their friends online if they find a very good bargain in Facebook and their friend can just go check it out. Do you know that my blog is in Facebook to? Just go to facebook.com/malaysiacoin and like my page. Feel free to add suggestion or your question in there. I gather this Malaysia Facebook Trusted Sellers because of the trend right now in Malaysia. Trusted means no issue with buyer (fake item, item don't received etc) when I read or found them in Facebook before I make this post. I had been adding most of them for over 2 months and almost all of their buyers are happy with their item. This is not related to seller rating or their grading skill. Most of these sellers are small time traders but some of them do have shop. Just add them in Facebook and look on their wall for any item on sale or go to their photos collection and look for item on sale album. The top 2 sellers give a very reasonable price that I think other sellers cannot give to you. Most of them only sale in Malaysia but you can asked them yourself if they can send item oversea.

Uptown Shah Alam

Today, I just had a visit to Uptown Shah Alam. For any of you who don't know, its also known as Kompleks Muhibbah Shah Alam. The place located at Seksyen 24 Shah Alam. For any of you who don't know where is the exact place, the best way is going there using KESAS (Shah Alam Highway) and enter LKSA ( Lebuhraya Kemuning-Shah Alam), just look for Kompleks Muhibbah Shah Alam after you pay your toll. The place open from 8pm until 3am everyday but most of the shop in that place only open at 9.30pm. I suggest you come early at around 8pm if you go on weekend because it will be hard to find parking after 9pm.

The only shop that make me interested to make a visit to that place is Uptown Banknote & Coin Collection own by Che'Lee. I had been his friends in Facebook for many months and had seen him posting his collection online since then. On my visit today, Che'Lee just open his shop and not many people around. After 10 minutes, people start coming to his shop nonstop. But most of them just a curious onlookers who never seen old Malaysia coins and banknotes. During my visit that day, Che'Lee collection mostly Malaysia coins and banknotes including Straits Settlements, Malaya British Borneo. He also display some foreign banknotes, Coke-Cola Bottles & accessories, Rayban & accessories and also some Malaysia banknotes in a frame complete with a small description of the notes. All the notes in that frame are in Uncirculated condition.

Why do I suggest you to come as early as 8pm? Uptown Shah Alam also have many eating places/stall that you can visit. You can eat Thai, Malay or Indonesian food in here. Nasi lemak, Soto, Bakso, Steambot, Otak-otak, Satar and many more Malaysian food waiting for you in here. I heard that the Uptown Steambot is famous among food lover but sadly I am already full to try them today, maybe next time.

Like many other flea market in this country, you can find many things in Uptown Shah Alam. You can find men clothes, women clothes, shoes, handbag, toys, camping and survival gears, pets shops and 2nd hand clothes (bundle). If you're a fan of Levis Bundle, you can find many bundle shop selling Levis in here. Just make sure you come/stay at this place after 10pm since at that time, most shop already open and ready for visit. They also have live bands to entertain visitor that coming to visit.

Dickson Niew Collection Shop

Yesterday I visit Dickson Niew Collection shop at Subang Jaya, Seksyen 14. Many of my Facebook friends must have been adding him as a friends in Facebook or had been meeting him recently at Malaysia Numismatic Society Auction No.149 in Jabatan Muzium Malaysia, Muzium Negara on 25 September. He has already work as a full time dealer since the last two months but still busy doing preparation for his new shop. I only knew about his shop when I meet him during MNS auction. For anyone of you who still don't know, he is the one that I mention in I meet Malaysia coin expert.

Finding Dickson Shop is not that hard if you're familiar with Jalan Kewajipan, Subang Jaya, Just look for Seksyen 14 signboard. If you're from KESAS, just head to Subang Parade/Carrefour Subang. When you find a roundabout, turn left (first exit) and enter USJ 14 junction. His shop is just few blocks away from that junction, just look for "Zhong Hua Tea Trading Sdn Bhd". Dickson shop is sharing with the same shop. If you're looking at Lebuhraya Pantai Bahru, the shop is near to the pedestrian bridge. Mr. Dickson suppose to finish bringing his stock in 2 weeks times. Right now, Some of his coins and banknotes stock is not in the shop. You need to contact him for appointment and told him what kind of collection that you like to buy. At the time of my visit yesterday, I can see many tin coins (Malay, Sumatera, Duit Ayam), Malaysia Silver Commemorative coins, Error banknotes, Uncut banknotes, Japan Invasion Money and coins & banknotes accesories (coin holder, coin album, banknote album, magnifying glass ). He also sell some collectibles; Coke-cola door handle, Coke-cola clock. A popular RM50 Merdeka Gold Line series is also on sale for a very reasonable price.

Many of my Facebook friends had been asking if he give discount or his price is good. Currently he is doing some sort of promotion for his new shop and giving a very nice discount. You need to called him yourself, and ask for it. Like this "A biography of President Yusof bin Ishak" complete set books is free if you bought that banknote. Berjaya Times Square dealers

This is a Berjaya Times Square coin dealers list. Berjaya Times Square KL is a twin tower complex containing a shopping centre and two five star hotels located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was opened in October 2003 by the then Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad. Both towers are 203 metres (666 ft) tall, with 48 floors and with 7.5 million square feet (700,000 m²) of built up floor area. It offers shopping, luxury accommodation, business, food and entertainment. Currently, it has space for more than 1,000 retail shops, 1,200 luxury service suites, 65 food outlets to suit many tastes and entertainment attractions.

How do you go to Berjaya Times Square? If you came from KLIA, you can go to KL Sentral using ERL (Express Rail Link). In KL Sentral, there is many public transportation that you can find. If you're using taxi, just asked them to go to Berjaya Times Square Mall, the fare should be around RM10. You can also walk a little bit, go find a Monorail and buy a ticket to Plaza Imbi, the fare will be around RM2.00. This Building is near the Bukit Bintang area. Its should be no problem asking people where is this building situated since this is one of Kuala lumpur major landmark.


They're three shop in this building. A suggestion from me, if you want to go to this shop, you better go after 3pm. Most of the owner will only open their shop at that time and closed around 7pm. Called them first to check if they open during your visit. I only manage to meet two of the shop owners during this visit but their working time are almost similar. All of the shops are at 7th floor and open everyday (including Sunday) from 2pm to 8pm.

No more Heritage Hotel Money Fair

U.S Agency recently told me, they will not held any Money and Stamp Fair at Heritage Station Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. This is because of high rental rates and the place currently doing some renovation work. You can find them every Saturday and Sunday at Amcorp Mall Flea market in Petaling Jaya. Mr. Govin from U.S Agency told me that they had stop doing fair at that place for many months now.

U.S Agency Dealing in Stamps, Coins, Banknotes, Miniature Sheets, Phone Cards in Malaysia, Singapore, China, Hong Kong & World. U.S Agency is based in Ipoh. They were actively involved in many money and stamp fair across Malaysia. For me, they were one of coin dealer who actively try to educate public on coin collecting.


Amcorp Mall flea market open on Saturday and Sunday; from 9.00 am until 5.00 pm. The flea market of Amcorp Mall located in the mall at the lower ground and the 1st floor. The Amcorp Mall is situated at Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Located opposite the Taman Jaya LRT station which is served by the Kelana Jaya Line, operated by Rapid KL. It is also located in the proximity of the Petaling Jaya Hilton Hotel and the Armada Hotel. This is one of the flea market recommended by most collector for antique, coin, vintage and collectibles item.

Seniman Agung P.Ramlee Medallion

Thank you very much to everyone who has been calling, asking and giving information about this coins. I had a none stop called by P.Ramlee fans (From Kuantan, Sabah and even from Singapore), asking for the details of the coin and where to get them. Othman Abdullah, the CEO of KL Mint contact me by email and give some information regarding this medallion and KL Mint. He said that this coin don't have any any face-value, hence you could also call it a medallion. Wisma Merdeka coin dealer

A reader told me that he will be going to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for a vacation and want to know where he can find coin dealer in Kota Kinabalu. Wisma Merdeka is the best place if you want to find coin dealer. At the moments, there are three coin dealers shop in there. Most of them sell antiques, chinaware, banknotes, coins and stamps. I already been dealing with some of them for over 5 years now. Last time, there are at least five dealer shops but I am not sure what happen to them. If you're looking for Sarawak and Sabah (North Borneo) collection, this is the best place to find but you need to asked them. Some of them will not display their nice uncirculated collection for sell.

How can you find this coin dealers? First, you need to find Wisma Merdeka. Wisma Merdeka is at jalan Tun Razak. You can find Hyatt Regency Kinabalu Hotel and Capital Hotel near Wisma Merdeka. If you're coming from Likas using Tun Fuad Stephen street, you can see the building at your right, beside Kinabalu college. In Wisma Merdeka, you need to look for Familia Store (at the end of the building, on first and second floor). You need to go up on second floor and look for Total stationery shop. All the coin dealer shops are around that stationery shop.

If any of you knew any other place in Sabah where we can find a coin dealers, please share here. I found some small antique shops in Kota Kinabalu before but they're not focusing on banknote and coins like what you can find at this shops in Wisma Merdeka. The small shops price are higher then Market price and not worth sharing about them here.
