I am a huge fan of BBQ....delicious slow cooked meat that basically falls apart as you eat it-ahhh nothing is better than that! When I heard about Pig of the Month BBQ-a small family owned company that wants to bring the best BBQ to customers all over the world I was intrigued.
A bit about Pig of the Month BBQ
Pig of the Month BBQ searched the WHOLE country for the best barbecue. No, really, they did. And they had a great time doing so. The family behind POTM-, the Richards family, would go on family vacations every year in every part of the country and turn each trip into one big barbecue hunt. They literally went to every so-called BBQ hot spot and had their fingers deliciously smeared from digging into A LOT of different kinds of barbecue. (They've tried them all!) They went through some tough ones (pun intended), but they also found some authentic, finger-lickin’ good ones—usually from mom-and-pop restaurants and other hole-in-the-wall dining places. (Told you they’ve been everywhere.)
And after scouring every town, city, state, or region, their search has finally ended.

By recreating their favorite barbecues from different regions, they've decided to make their own perfectly smoked barbecue ribs, pulled pork, sides, and lip-smacking sauces—and share the goodness with people everywhere! Pig of the Month offers ribs just the way all barbecue lovers want them: perfectly seasoned, tender-on-the-inside but crispy-on-the-outside, smoky, and mouthwatering—just tear-off-the-bones good barbecue. POTM's smoking technique is one that was perfected over many decades.
I received a rack of Key West Themed Baby back ribs, 1 lb. of The Best Buttermilk Coleslaw, and Mmmm and Mmmm Cookie Sandwich from Pig of the Month BBQ. Since moving from the north to the south I-like the Richards family-have tried many different types of BBQ-some I literally had to choke down they were so awful and some that were so good I could basically eat BBQ for the rest of my life. So when I received my rack of Key West Themed Baby Back ribs from Pig of the Month I was interested in just how ''good'' these ribs would be. The food came nicely packaged with dry ice in a large box to keep the food nice and cold. The ribs were vacuum packed and came with complimentary wetnaps and bibs. Since the ribs are fully cooked all I had to do was reheat them in the oven for about an hour and ten minutes-it was easy and mess free!
Next I placed some coleslaw onto my plate, along with the reheated ribs, and half of the Mmmm and Mmmm Cookie Sandwich (my daughter took the other half). Oh, my lucky stars...this BBQ is amazing and some of the best I have ever tasted. WOWZA! The ribs had a tiny bit of tang which I absolutely loved-unique and mouthwatering (and YES I ate the WHOLE RACK myself-just in case you were wondering!). Now the Buttermilk Coleslaw is also quite good-I am not a huge fan of Coleslaw but this Coleslaw is definitely one of the best I have tried (my Dad LOVES coleslaw and he absolutely LOVED it). Now as for the Mmmm & Mmmm Cookie Sandwich my daughter and I seriously battled over it-yes, she is five years old- but people the Cookie Sandwich is AMAZING...chocolate poured over two cookies filled with buttercream and covered in M&M's... unbelievable (believe me, you would fight over it too!). The cookies were soft-the buttercream had the perfect amount of sweetness and the M&M's and ganache gave it that perfect finishing touch! Mmmmmm!
