A bit about The Rosebud Perfume Company
Founded by George F. Smith in 1895 The Rosebud Perfume Company began as a small drug store, then moved across the street to occupy a large brick building (formerly a hotel) that has since become known as The Rosebud Building. After seeing its local popularity, George Smith began to advertise in tabloids and within a few years had a thriving mail-order business that continues today into the Internet Era. Currently, The Rosebud Perfume Co. is shipping to almost every country in the world, with distribution centers in Northern Europe, Central Europe, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore.
Their flagship product, Smith's Rosebud Salve, remains their best selling product to date.
My Review
I was sent a tin and tube of Smith's Rosebud Salve to review. Oh...how...I....adore this product! Not only does this balm smell divine {like baby powdered roses} but it also leaves a gorgeous rosy tint and dewy sheen on your lips. Lips become softer and more irresistible...just ask my husband! What I love most about this balm is that it isn't sticky like SO many glosses are! This salve is a mothers dream- not only because can I kiss my husband and kids while not leaving a waxy, sticky, or oily residue but also because this salve is multi-purpose. Smith's Rosebud Salve can use on chapped noses, diaper rash, burns, blemishes, cuticles, etc. To sum it up this is a life saver in a tin...oh and speaking of the tin-it is shabby chic and looks super cute on a vanity or in a makeup bag. The Rosebud Perfume Company is now selling Rosebud Salve in a tube...so it is more portable and can be even left in the car on hot summer days {warning: don't leave the tin in the car...!}. What more can I say? This salve is worth all of the hype it has got and is still getting. It is beautifully packaged and does what it says it will-moisturizes, heal, and smooths! Whats not to love?
Smith's Rosebud Salve is sold at Anthropologie, Sephora, and Urban Outfitters.
