2011 All Blacks Silver Proof Coin

2011 All Blacks Silver Proof Coin minted by New Zealand Post on 19 October 2010. The one ounce pure silver coin is authorised by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and, as per all New Zealand legal tender coins, has a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the ‘heads’ side. The 2011 All Blacks Coin is the first commemorative coin release from New Zealand Post, under an exclusive licensing agreement with the New Zealand Rugby Union. On the reverse of the coin, you can see Black face with a repeating fern pattern in low-relief, All Blacks logo and One Dollar are incused in silver.

The 1 oz silver proof coin has been struck in 0.999 pure silver with a black reverse face. The coin is unmistakably All Blacks, and the black background is given even more impact with the fern design rendered in low-relief and clearly visible when viewed from different angles. Shining through in the centre of the coin is the ‘one dollar’ denomination and the official All Blacks logo shown in the strength of pure silver.
