Forbidden MAC

We're supposed to be saving our money for our trip to London, but last Monday night I noticed that MAC's Spring Forecast collection was online. This collection is really cute, but not full of must-haves, and after filling my virtual basket with a load of pretty lip products, I put my sensible head on and only ordered things I know I'd love... even though I shouldn't have since my London trip is imminent. Whoops!

I hate ordering online now that MAC have changed couriers. Before, I was able to track my parcel almost to the hour and I received it on the day that I had a 'dispatched' email. Now I don't get my email until the day after it's dispatched and then the parcel two days after that. Grrr. Anyway, my little black box finally arrived (after being thrown over our back garden gate, I might add. Luckily everything was intact or there'd be a very strongly worded email to MAC), and I got:

Azalea Blossom blush ombre
Ripe Peach blush ombre
Victorian lipstick
Bubblegum lipstick

The blushes are absolutely fabulous! Ripe Peach is sold out everywhere so I'm really pleased I managed to get one. It didn't disappoint either. It gives such a peachy corally type of glow to the cheeks, and I loooooove the gradient so you can mix the colour dependant on the look. I wore this yesterday and it wasn't chalky, it was very pigmented, and lasted all day. My new favourite without a doubt <3

Azalea Blossom is a little cooler than my normal cheek colour choices, but I had to get it. I haven't worn it yet but the swatches are so pretty. They're the size of MSF's too, so although at £19.50 they're more expensive than regular blushes, you do get a bit more bang for your buck. I hope these become permanent at some point.

Bubblegum is so pretty. I love lilac lips and this has a definite lilac undertone, so is perfect for when I don't want too much lilac. It's kind of a shimmery, sheerer love child of Lavender Whip and Snob <3 I love it.

Victorian was a little disappointing when I first saw it. It looks exactly like Lollipop Loving in the tube, but it's got more of a pink tone to it and the shimmer is gold not green. It looks absolutely stunning on the lips. Definitely a pink-coral rather than just coral. I wore it yesterday with a simple lined eye, and it looked lovely. It'll be gorgeous when I have a tan, I'm sure!

I've been meaning to post this since Friday night, but I've been a busy little bee this weekend. I worked Saturday morning, then had to do lots of work for my NVQ, then I had to paint the front door, back door and garage door, and then I helped Mr Lollipop stain the decking. Today I helped my Mam stain our benches out the front, give the front door a second coat of paint, and attempted some more NVQ work. In between that I had to make dinner - roast beef with all the trimmings. I normally help prepare Sunday lunch by peeling the veg and things, but today I cooked it all the way through by myself, gravy and all! It was rather scrummy too. Phew, I'm pooped! Hope you've all had a good weekend - did any of you go shopping to splurge on the new MAC collections?!

xoxo
