SHANGHAI (Dow Jones)--China's foreign-exchange reserves may have exceeded US$2.4 trillion at the end of 2009, the state-run Shanghai Securities News reported Friday, citing an unnamed source at a big state-run bank.
China's forex reserves, the world's largest, reached $2.27 trillion at the end of September, with the majority of the assets denominated in U.S. dollars.
Beijing will disclose its end-2009 foreign-exchange reserves next week, the report said.
