At the start of the 50′s, the Imperial Pearl Syndicate produced this gown, made up of 100,000 fresh water cultured pearls. It weighs in at a whopped 2 stone! Cost, $100,000. It has been modeled by various celebrities throughout the years, although it is still in the posession of the IPS. 1956 was the year Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier. Made up of over 125 yards of silk net, and silk taffeta . It is still regarded as one of the mostbeautiful gowns ever, it boasted a fitted bodice, round collar, and full skirt, designed using century-old lace and peau de soie fabric.
