I am SO excited to be participating in Qlubb's "Be a Room Parent" Blog Tour!
Did you know that countless studies have shown the parent involvement in the classroom and school has a direct impact on a child’s academic achievement, teacher morale and classroom control...and it's easier to get involved then you make think!
Here are some easy tips to help get you involved in your childs classroom...
- If you are a working Mom and can't take time off of work for school holiday parties you can still volunteer to bake treats and just swing them by the school or send them off with your child before work!
- Does your child have a school trip coming up? Volunteer to go with the class on the trip...teachers are always looking for extra helpers on trips away from the school!
- Communicate with other parents and teachers to ask what they may need help with. Since budgets are being cut schools are having to cut back on many resources that they have used in the past.
- Make sure the teacher knows that you want to be involved...chances are she will contact you if she needs help with something!
See? Getting involved in your childrens classroom is really as easy as ABC!
