Hooby Groovy Giveaway!

Hooby Groovy is a sweet little Etsy shop full of Handmade iPad and iPhone cases. Hooby Groovy cases are made out of the cutest fabrics and would make a perfect Holiday gift for that iPad or iPhone lover! I was able to get owner Eeleng to answer some fun QandA's about Hooby Groovy and herself. Read on...

Name?
Eeleng

Location:
Australia

Why did you start your Etsy shop?
A few months ago, I left my old workplace feeling completely burnt out and decided I needed a sabbatical. After a couple of months, I still couldn't face the prospect of returning to that 9-5 (or in my case, it was often 9 - midnight) grind. But I wanted to have something to fill my time and keep me focused. So I started creating various things: dresses for my nieces, house decorations and cases for my phone and iPad. That's when I realized I really enjoyed doing this and wouldn't it be great if someone else liked my creations too! So I decided to give it a go: run a shop and work for myself. I started my shop early last week and every day I've learned something new about business, craft and myself. And at the end of the day, I would say these are my primary goals for my Etsy shop: gain new experiences, share my creations with other people and have fun.

How many Sales have you had?
I have had 2 sales so far since setting up shop last week to 2 lovely customers in Australia, where I live.

Whats your favorite item?
From my own shop, it would have to be my Super Mushroom Case.  From other shops, wow there are way too many lovely items that I'm eyeing.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Lately all my spare time has been taken up with Hooby Groovy and I'm loving it. Other than that, I spend most weeknights at my martial arts school where I'm learning Wing Chun Kung Fu. I especially love the sparring classes. I'm totally crap at it but they're awesomely fun.

Your Favorite Movie?
I'm ashamed to say Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift :)  I find it so hilarious though I'm not really sure it was meant to be funny...

Favorite Dessert?
I love anything chocolatey but my absolute favourite dessert is actually a non-chocolatey Malaysian dessert called ais kacang. At the bottom is a mixture of beans and jellies and it's topped with a mountain of shaved ice with coconut milk and various syrups poured over it. I grew up in hot, tropical Malaysia and a bowl of ais kacang on a hot, humid night was heavenly.

Favorite Vacation?
My husband and I had a 10 day holiday in Tokyo in 2007 and it was so much fun. Tokyo is such a vibrant place and interesting place. Everyday was a mixture of ancient Japan and modern metropolis. We went from looking at ancient samurai swords to the latest technology in mechanized heated toilets. In the trains (which we took great effort to avoid during peak hours), kimono clad young ladies sit amongst youths in the most bizarre fashion. One of my favorite place was the Ghibli Museum, which was such a charming little house showcasing animation house Studio Ghibli's works. Less a museum, more of the dream cottage I would have loved to live in as a child. And the shopping in Tokyo was to die for! I literally went crazy and we had to buy another big suitcase to fit all my shopping. And we still had to carry several bulging paper bags on board. I'm definitely going back to Tokyo one day.
