40 beauty questions

I saw this on the lovely TallulahBella's blog and the gorgeous Gemsmaquillage did a video on this here. I really enjoyed reading and watching them, so thought I'd have a bash too :)

SKINCARE
-How many times do you wash your face daily?

Normally just once, in the morning, unless I've had a heavy make up day. That makes me sounds like a dirty cow, but I do remove my make up and cleanse at night.

-What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)

I'd say combination. Generally I have very dry cheeks and nose, oily forehead and skin. This can change, but if it does it just means my skin is drier.

-What is your current facial wash?

A random foaming Simple one. I peeled the label off because it was getting on my nerves, all minging and stuff.

-Do you exfoliate?

Yep. I guess you could say I'm an exfoliatoraholic. Or a scrubber... I'm not fussy haha!

-What brand do you use?

Generally Lush's Ocean Salt <3 Bestest ever. If I'm having a sensitive skin day though it's a Soap & Glory one, Greatest Scrub Of All (even though it isn't).

-What moisturizer do you use?

Good old E45 in the mornings, and Nivea Creme at night.

-Do you have freckles?

Nope.

-Do you use eye cream?

Yes, I am using a Superdrug brightening one, but I've only just come to the realisation (a week before my 26th birthday no less) that I am a quarter of a century old. Quarter of a century. How old does that sound?! I am a bit concerned about aging and wrinkles now, so I want to investigate anti-wrinkle creams.

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?

No, I've never really suffered from acne. I get the odd breakout, but nothing a bit of Sudocrem can't sort :)

-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?

No.




MAKE-UP
-What foundation do you use?

I'm currently using Revlon Colorstay, but I'm on the lookout for a new one for spring.

-How about concealer?

MAC Studio Sculpt (won't be repurchasing!) and the Garnier Tinted Eye Roll-on (will be repurchasing <3)

-Do you know your undertone color?

This confuses me. My face is quite red (so is that warm or cool?) but it looks to me as if the skin on my body yellowy undertones... So I dunno.

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?

I love them! I don't wear them often and they're a bit of a palava to put on, but they're so worth the effort. I'm a big lash lover.

-Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?

Yes but I replace mine every 6 weeks at least since I go through so much of it. Like I said, big lash lover.

-What brand of mascara do you use?

Max Factor Masterpiece. I'm a drugstore mascara girl since I use so much of it and Max Factor was the very first brand I started wearing. Can't be beaten in my opinion.

-Sephora or MAC?

MAC because I've never been to a Sephora :( There isn't one in the UK and I've never been to USA :(

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?

Nope :(

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?

Fingers for foundation and concealer, brushes for cheeks and eyes, straight out of the tube for lips.

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?

Yes, I generally use Urban Decay Primer Potion though the Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadows are lovely too.

-For the face?

No I don't use one often enough. Don't think they make much difference to be honest.

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?

MAC All That Glitters <3

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?

Pencil. I hate liquid liners - only because I can't use them properly.

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?

Err... never.

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?

I love them - but hardly use them because they're not in my palette.

-Do you use mineral makeup?

Sometimes yes.

-What is your favorite lipstick?

Hmmm that's a toss up between MAC's LE Pure Rose or YSL Rouge Volupte Number 2.

-How about lipgloss?

I'm not a huge lipgloss lover, but I am quite partial to MAC's Sugarrimmed Dazzleglass.

-What is your favorite blush to use?

Either MAC's Dainty or MAC's Peachykeen. Though I've been quite partial to MAC's Ripe Peach recently.

-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?

No - I worry too much about fakes.

-Do you like drugstore makeup?

Certain brands yes. Generally I prefer higher end things though.

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)

No, the ones in the UK are too far away.

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?

I wanted to take Health and Beauty/Hairdressing as part of my GCSE's, but because I was in the top class (ooh get me!) I had to take Double Science, which clashed with the Health and Beauty/Hairdressing classes... so I wasn't allowed. I've regretted not pursuing it in college ever since, but haven't really considered it as part of my plan now.

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

Only with liquid/gel eyeliners.

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?

Lip liner darker than the shade of lipstick. Grrr.

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?

I feel most comfortable in neutrals, but I do love bright colours. I'm pushing my make up boundaries a bit more this year :)

-Which celebrity always has great make up?

Oh there's tons. Gwen Stefani totally rocks the red lip, Jennifer Aniston always looks simple but chic, Megan Fox, Kim Kardashian, Lauren Conrad, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Zooey Deschanel... I could go on.

-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item,what would you use?

Mascara.

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?

Not to work or anything but nipping to shop for milk or McDonalds for a minute then yes.

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?

Lol no!

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?

Hmmm... I love different brands for different things. Probably MAC, but I'm a little bit obsessed with YSL lip products at the minute.

-What do you think of Makeup?

I adore it. It makes me feel good about myself and let's me get a bit creative from time to time.
