My DVD days (Part 2)
Hey all you bloggers,
well the next movie that i'm gonna talk about has been made before in 1988 by Mr John Walters.Basically here is a short summary of the movie.I've watched it 12 times and it is a great movie.Well it happens in the 60's in Baltimore when segregation was a big part in everyone's life.Tracy Turnblad(Nicky Blonsky) a cheerful and rotund high school student loves the dancing show "The Corny Collins Show".Her best friend Penny Pingleton(Amanda Bynes)who has a single mum also loves the show but Tracy holds a dream to dance on the show. The kids who dance on the show go to TRacy's school for examply the arragant Amber Von Tussle(Brittany Snow)and the hunk of the show Link Larkin(Zac Efron).Amber's mum Velma(Michelle Pfeiffer)is the station's manager and when Tracy auditions she of course shuns her and tells her rotund people are not successful. But in a dance hop Corny(James Marsden)see's her and puts her on the show. But along the way Tracy realises that not only fame is important. She realises it when she notices all council members are white and there are no black members unless it's negro day.She has to learn how to fight for what she believes in while helping her friends Seaweed(Elijah Keys)and MoterMouth Mabel(Queen Latifah)save Negro Day and persuade her Mother(John Travolta) and her father(Christopher Walken)that she really wants to danceo on that show without messing up her hair.Until the next post!
xoxo
