The US President, Mr Barack Obama is here in Singapore and in three weeks time Earth, Wind And Fire will be here too. And the connection?There are a few but this particular group performed at the White House on February 22, 2009 at the Governors' Dinner which was the first formal White House dinner hosted by President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Quite a haul for little red dot Singapore. And for 60s music too because this group has been a hit since they started in the late 60s. With ten Grammy Awards and four American Music Awards.
They have been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. Having sold over 90 million albums worldwide has earned them a place on the list of best-selling music artists, where they are ranked as the seventh best selling American band of all time.
