Bamboobies Review and Giveaway

    As a Mom who has nursed one child for a year and who is now currently nursing again I know how important soft reusable nursing pads can be. The first few weeks of breastfeeding are the hardest...you leak everywhere, you are sore, engorged, and you feel "utterly" like a cow. A Bit about Bamboobies
   Softness, the most important thing to newly-nursing nipples!  

Almost nothing compares with the softness of bamboo.  Bamboo fibers are round on a microscopic scale rather than flat, bamboo fibers rest closer to the skin than most fibers, making it 'feel' softer. The micro-structure also has unique gaps that allow for greater breath-ability and moisture absorption - two features highly desired by nursing mothers.

Bamboo is a sustainable crop as it does not claim farming land, grows very fast and needs minimal care and no chemical pesticides or herbicides.  It is a much better CO2 extractor and oxygen-emitter than trees and bamboo products are biodegradable and recyclable.  

Bamboobies bamboo fabrics are made with both bamboo fibers and pulp and are Certified Organic. Their bamboo fabric is certified free of harmful substances by Oeko-tex Standard 100.  In addition, their fabrics meet International Restricted Substance Limits standards. Bamboobies has been working closely with their suppliers to produce fabrics in an ecologically responsible manner with minimal environmental impact.  At the factories where the fabric is made, the extraction and renewal treatments for wastewater and exhaust emissions are carefully controlled and worker-safety is held to a high standard.

Organic Cotton and Bamboo are blended to create the soft velour of the regular bamboobies and the fleece on the outside of the overnights.


My Review

I was sent a pair of Heart Shaped Regular Organic Velour Nursing pads and Overnight Nursing pads from Bamboobies to review. Oh how I wish I knew about Bamboobies when I had my daughter! Bamboobies are the softest most luxurious Nursing pads I have EVER used. They are like pillows for your boobs...I know that sounds strange but they are that plush and comfortable! I especially love that Bamboobies reusable nursing pads won't show through clothing...that in itself is amazing! The Heart Shaped Regular Organic Velour Nursing Pads are lined with organic bamboo velour on the inside to soothe tender nipples and have a waterproof outer to protect clothing. Because they are heart-shaped they cup the breast better than circular nursing pads do...no creases means no lines. At the inside of the pad is a hemp and Organic cotton liner to help absorb excess milk. The Overnight Bamboobies are just like the Regular Bamboobies except they are much thicker...and these will show through tighter shirts...so only use these at night. I love Bamboobies SO much I am going to order a few more pairs and some for a friend who will be having a baby later this summer. Yes, Bamboobies are a bit more expensive than other Nursing pads but they are SO worth every single penny...super soft, super absorbent, they don't show through clothing and they are environmentally friendly...what more could you ask for?....NOTHING!
