A bit about Isabooties
Isabooties was started by Libby and Laura who had been friends since high school. When their babies were born they started searching for the best, safest, healthiest, Earth-friendly products for their little ones. Laura and Libby searched high and low for products that made the cut but sadly in the category of shoes they came up empty handed.
Sure, their were tons of baby shoes on the market but they weren't animal-free or made in the U.S. After testing the shoes out on their babies the leather would crack after several washings, the suede soles would become slick with wear, the leather scuffed after being worn once or twice, and don't even mention the designs of the shoes themselves.... every pair of soft-soled shoes looked almost exactly the same!
Confident that there was much room for improvement, Libby and Laura decided it was time to take action! They started researching fabric, design and style options. Their list of requirements grew. The shoes had to be healthy for their babies and healthy for the Earth. They had to be soft and comfy on their little ones' feet. They had to be easy for Moms to put on, but hard for the kids to pull off. They wanted them machine-washable and machine-dryable. They had to be breathable, durable, skid-proof, and fade-resistant. Oh, and last but certainly not least...they had to be hip and stylish! Laura and Libby found the perfect, 100% animal-free fabrics and started making shoes for their own kids. They mixed bright, funky colors with unique ribbon accents. Soon, their friends wanted them. Then, their friends asked for them, and so on. Before Laura and Libby knew it, IsaBooties was born!
My Review
I was sent a pair of Isabootie Racers in Espresso to review. These little shoes are absolutely AMAZING! Why, I actually want a pair for myself! I love LOVE LOVE LOVE that you can wash these shoes...I mean if you think about it babies are pretty messy...spit up, urine, etc. These shoes are so wonderful because they wash well and look brand new even after doing so! I love how soft the Ultrasuede® is and that it is breathable but still keeps my little mans feet warm! I really also love that the shoes don't slip off easily. I can't tell you how many baby shoes I own that slip off within minutes of me placing them on the baby...Isabooties don't...they stay on until I take them off! I definitely recommend Isabooties to every Mom out there...they are adorable, fuctional, and made extremely well!
