We all have scars. I know for a fact that having three little boys---the chances of them having one here or there will most likely happen too. BUT....with something like Mederma Scar Gel around, it might make things a little less noticeable if put to work diligently. How sad that I already know this is coming...!

Before I even get started I'll assure you that I will not be showing you pictures of my c section scar. Nope, nope, nope! The only pictures here will be of the scar on my husband's hand- which is where we used Mederma Scar Gel for review. Also..I want to note that it will take a longer period of time to really see what the scar gel can do- I basically gave it 4 weeks.

The scar on his hand was already fairly light to begin with. We used this scar because a) I didn't really have one that I wanted the world to see, and b) because I knew I wouldn't be able to use the entire 12 weeks for results. My hope was that since it is already a pretty light scar, it would see pretty quick results with the gel.

In middle, this is exactly 4 weeks ago. Scar thanks to our dog.

You can still see it there in the middle, but it does seem lighter.

I also want to mention that they offer Mederma Scar Cream with SPF. This is absolutely perfect for a scar that might be on your face- we need to take care of our skin as we get older, and this helps to heal and protect at the same time!

The one drawback is that you have to be pretty dedicated to applying the gel. You need to make sure that you remember to use it three to four times a day, which- is of course very hard when sometimes you are just trying to GET THROUGH the day. One thing that I liked about Mederma- is that they offer this handy dandy daily reminder tool. You can sign up via email or even text! Yes! You can choose the frequency of the reminders and specify by product. How cool is that?

Overall, I recommend this product. We're still using the gel- but it's fading more and more as the weeks go by. And sidenote- I am sure that you have seen it, but Mederma was also so kind as to send me a sample of their Stretch Mark Cream- which I have been using. I escaped those things with my son, but there was no way I was going to a second time. So...I'll let you know how it goes. It's only been a couple of weeks that I have been using it regularly- so I'll be sure to do a quick blurb when about 12 weeks is up.
