Cupcakes are one of my favorite foods to bake, eat, and serve at holidays and parties. Not only are cupcakes super cute but they are also extremely versatile. I always see adorable cupcakes in magazines, books, and television for themed parties and holidays but I am always unsure how to replicate the cupcakes in an easy, affordable way. A bit about Cupcake Crafts
Kimberly Storm is the owner of Cupcake Crafts. She began her culinary journey at the ripe age of seven. For the last 20 years Kim has worked in some of the most prestigious restaurants in Washington State. Forever an entrepreneur, she has owned her own catering company and coffee shop. Her goal with Cupcake Crafts is to share the joy of her experiences and show everyone who may not have a lot of confidence in the kitchen that there is absolutely nothing you can’t do!The idea behind Cupcake Crafts came about from Kimberly's experience trying to re-create the designs depicted in the most popular cupcake books. Kimberly lives in a very rural area where supplies are limited at best, so she searched for weeks trying to find all the cupcake decorating supplies and components. It dawned on her that having a kit with instructions would take a lot of the frustration and mystery out of cupcake decorating. She started experimenting and created these fun and instructional kits that include supplies and techniques for new comers and experienced decorators alike to use over and over again.
My Review
I was sent the Sassy Sunflowers kit from Cupcake Crafts to review. The Sassy Sunflowers kit comes with everything you need to adorn your cupcakes with gorgeous sunflowers! All you need to have on hand is 12 standard cupcakes and 12 ounces of Vanilla frosting. Cupcake Papers, Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, Red Chocolate Candies, Green Taffy, Assorted Food Coloring, Parchment Paper, Pastry Bags, Tweezers, Toothpicks and Step by Step Color Illustrated Instructions are all included in the kit. My sister is getting married in October and her flowers are sunflowers so for her bridal shower I used the Sassy Sunflower kit from Cupcake Crafts to make adorable cupcakes. My four year old daughter helped me arrange everything on top of the cupcakes and loved following the illustrated instructions with me! Decorating the cupcakes was easy, fun, and everyone raved about how cute the cupcakes were {they also loved how great they tasted as well!}. I love that Cupcake Crafts has tons of super cute cupcake kits to choose from-owls, butterflies, dragonflies, crocodiles, fish...you name it!
