VeggieTales "Twas the Night before Easter" Review

If you haven't ever watched a VeggieTales movie then you are missing out! VeggieTales intertwines important values and lessons throughout their fun filled movies.Read on to learn about VeggieTales and their latest movie release "Twas the Night before Easter."

A bit about VeggieTales
VeggieTales is a video series that teaches timeless values like honesty, kindness, and forgiveness in a delightfully wacky way! Hosted by Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, each video in the series teaches a life lesson -- without ever being preachy. These hilarious stories feature top-quality computer animation, infectious songs, and lovable characters.
VeggieTales is a show that helps teach your kids to be better kids. This unique blend of Sunday morning values and Saturday morning fun has made VeggieTales one of the most popular kids video series in America.

VeggieTales is created, written, and produced by Big Idea Productions. In an age of media mega-mergers, Big Idea is a small, independent, family entertainment company based in the Midwest. Big Idea's mission is to positively impact the moral and spiritual fabric of our society through creative media.
At the heart of each VeggieTales video is a nugget of truth that is rooted in the Bible. These include such timeless values as honesty, thankfulness, kindness and forgiveness. But these videos aren't preachy. In fact, they've been called "clever, quirky," and "deliciously silly" by journalists. At the heart of VeggieTales is this one-of-a-kind mix of wacky humor and gentle reminders to kids -- and parents -- that God made them special and loves them very much.

My Review
I was sent a Pre-release DVD copy of VeggieTales "Twas the Night before Easter" to review. I was SO excited to watch this movie with my four year old {who absolutely LOVES VeggieTales!}. This fun little movie features all of the VeggieTale characters at their finest! The main character is news reporter Marlee Meade {played by Petunia Rhubarb} who is always looking for a way to help others out. During Easter she receives a tip that the theater in town is going to be shut down. Marlee uses her noggin to save the theater with her VeggieTale friends! Oh, but it's not that easy! Marlee learns that Cassie Cassava {American Idol's Melinda Doolittle} a famous singer will be visiting town to perform at her church's Easter service...uh oh, competition for the theater! Marlee decides to steal Cassie for the theaters Easter pageant...and....

Yep, I am going to leave you hanging..if you want to know what happens...you will have to go purchase the DVD for yourself! "Twas the Night before Easter" was very entertaining! It is filled with funny townspeople, interesting plot lines, and a huge robot bunny. My daughter and I giggled our way through the movie and also learned some great lessons throughout including how we can be better by helping one another! {As I have loved you, love one another!}. VeggieTales is quality entertainment for the whole family!

"Twas the Night before Easter" will be released March 5th, 2011.
You can pre-order the DVD now at BigIdea.com or Amazon.com!
It would be a perfect gift for the Easter basket!
