The BQE Photography Feature and Giveaway

Why did you start your Etsy shop?

In the past, my boyfriend and I had a lot of friends and family compliment the photos decorated on the walls in our apartment.  It usually leads into a conversation about where we purchased the photo, etc and it was always exciting to say it was me or my boyfriend . Since we live in Queens, many of our photos were taken in New York City and I thought maybe we could take the next step to sell them online.  I knew about Etsy for a while and I thought I would take a look at their website. As I was looking in the photography section, I noticed many of the NYC photos are mainly of Manhattan and there was barely any representation of the other boroughs.  While Manhattan is great place, I felt we could add a different perspective and show the beautiful places throughout New York City with our knowledge and lens. So I upgraded our camera equipment and started building our Etsy shop.  Most of the photos are mine and a few are my boyfriends but he is the person who helps in the final process of the photos such editing through photoshop and new ideas of places to shoot.  So in the end, I have a shop with some great photos throughout New York City and I am beginning to see myself get noticed!

How many Sales do you have?

I am an undiscovered shop, so I am patiently waiting for my 1st sale.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I go to a lot of  concerts in NYC with my boyfriend, my brother and some friends.  It varies from heavy metal, local Hispanic bands, and anything else good.  It is a lot of fun seeing some of our favorite bands and some new bands who are not in main stream music.  I also like to go to the park, read, hang out with friends, rent movies and check out the wonderful restaurants in Queens. I also started painting which is a lot fun and I am learning so much from my brother, the artist and my personal art teacher.

Your Favorite Movie?

I watch a lot of movies but my favorite movies of all time is Meet the Parents. I think I’ve watched it at least 20 times and it still makes me laugh.

Favorite Dessert?

It is definitely a banana split. So yummy and tasty! Since it is very filling and probably has tons of calories, I always make room for it by having a small meal.  

Favorite Holiday?

It has to be Halloween because it is always a fun time and one of the few times you can wear a cool costume. I also love going to the New York City Halloween parade to see all unique and fun costumes.
