Amys Kitchen Review and Giveaway {CLOSED}

    We try to eat Organic food as often as possible at our house. Organic food can be more nutritious for you and your family. Put simply, organic food contains more of the good stuff we need – like vitamins and minerals – and less of the bad stuff that we don't – pesticides, additives and drugs. I had heard of Amy's Kitchen from a few of my friends but had yet to try their products...I have now tried out two of their products and I am addicted...not only is their food healthy and nutritious but it tastes AMAZING!

A Bit about Amy's Kitchen
Amy's Kitchen is a family run business… with every member of the family taking part. The company was started in 1987, when Amy was born. Her mom and dad, Rachel and Andy Berliner, carefully nurtured the company as well as the child, paying constant attention to every aspect of its day to day activities and providing the vision that has made Amy's so successful.
Andy & Rachel
Andy and Rachel work as a team, discussing and dealing with every imaginable problem that a fast growing business faces. What they enjoy most, however, is the creation and development of new products… providing ideas and working closely with Amy's chefs and product developers. They taste new products again and again until satisfied that the highest standards of taste and quality are being met. Rachel, who has a keen and sensitive palate, is the company's official "taster."
Andy provides overall leadership and helps formulate marketing and sales strategy. Locating Andy at Amy's can be a challenge. Often he can be found in the kitchen doing what he loves the most: visiting with and working with the people who are carefully preparing the food. Both Andy and Rachel like to keep in touch with the needs and interests of the company's more than 1,600 employees and with Amy's customers. Rachel reads every letter written by customers.
AmyAmy herself, now finishing her degree at Stanford University, is also very much a part of the business and is often present at decision-making discussions. During the summer she likes to go to the plant and work on the burrito and packaging lines.
Amy's favorite foods as a toddler were the Vegetable Pot Pie and Macaroni & Cheese. Her favorite now is, of course, Amy's Pizza, which she serves to her friends at pool parties and "sleepovers."

My Review
I was sent a gorgeous re-usable bag and some free product coupons from Amy's Kitchen to review. My daughter and I went to our local supermarket where we were faced with the daunting task of picking out a few items to review from Amy's Kitchen. We decided to review the following products from Amy's Kitchen; Macaroni and Cheese and the Cheese Tamale Verde. The first product we reviewed/devoured was the Macaroni and Cheese....creamy, delicious, and my daughter and I couldn't believe it was a frozen meal! The Macaroni was perfectly cooked, light, and soft, and the cheese sauce just oozed yummy goodness! Next up was the Cheese Tamale Verde...now I was a bit sceptical how a frozen Tamale would taste...would the Masa be grainy and dry? Nope! The Cheese Tamale Verde was delicious, cheesy, and a bit spicy {but not too spicy!}. The tamale was moist and tender and the filling was perfectly cooked...! I loved the Spanish Rice and the black bean side dishes...the meal was the perfect size and satisfied my hunger! I will definitely be buying more Amy's Kitchen products in the future not only did I love them but the rest of my family did as well {we actually fought over the last few bites!}.
    So if you are looking for quick, easy, healthy, and organic meals to feed your family go straight for Amy's Kitchen...and make sure you buy lots...your family will be begging for more!

{You can find Amy's Kitchen products in the Organic section of your local supermarket...and if they don't carry Amy's Kitchen {shame on them!} you can request them to carry it by having them fill out the form here.}
