With the economy the way it is I have now started couponing. Coupons are are great way to save money weither you are browsing through the aisles of your local supermarket, picking up some clothing at the mall, or surfing the internet. One of my 'save money' criteria is to only shop at stores online and off that provide coupons. One of the stores that constantly has a coupon code to use is Aeropostale. You can find many other clothing stores that offer coupons or coupon codes by going to retailmenot.com.
I have compiled a few simple tips (that I follow) to help you save money at the stores;
-See Whats on Sale
Check some couponing blogs or your grocery store's website or flyer to see what items are on sale and plan some of your meals around the discounted items if possible
-Plan your meals in advance
You don't want to get to the store and just buy a bunch of random ingredients-. Make a list of a few meals that you want to make during the week and the other necessary items you need such as laundry detergent, toilet paper, etc. Making a list will help you from making an impulsive purchase.
-Take Time to Coupon
Visit couponing blogs (there are tons out there-some of my favorites are Southern Savers and Krazy Coupon Lady) and make sure you take the time to go through magazines, newspapers, facebook, and manufacturers sites during the week to see if coupons are available.
-Subscribe to your local newspaper
Local newspapers usually will carry manufacturers coupons a few times a month. Keep the coupons until the item goes on sale at the store and you've got a great product at a great price that won't break the bank.
-Stock up
If an item is on sale AND you have a few coupons for it-by all means stock up! Just this past week our favorite tortilla chips were on sale at the store-I found a coupon and printed it out a few times and when I combined the coupons with the bags of chips on sale I had made a great deal.
I wish you the best of luck with couponing!
