Safety 1st Clic It! Universal Infant Seat Carrier Review

I will start off this review by letting you all know that I have the cutest baby boy...

I mean just LOOK at those chubby cheeks and big eyes!

Now that is off my chest I also have to add that he is SUPER heavy. He just turned four months old and is in a size 3 diaper. For those of you who are unfamiliar with diaper sizes... size 3 diapers {depending on the brand} go from 16-28 lbs. Now that may not seem huge to you but my husband and I are not big people and our daughter took after both her parents...but this chubby guy...I don't know how he has gotten so big...! I have a bad back from being in a car accident over 10+ years ago so lugging this little big guy around is no easy task for me. I tried leaving him in the car seat and lugging that around but that wasn't such a good idea especially since the car seat added another two lbs or so. I tried the baby carriers but most of them ended up killing my back. I researched and searched the internet high and low to find something that might help my situation. I kept on coming back to the Clic It! which is a universal infant car seat carrier  from Safety 1st. The carrier had lots of great reviews but I was intrigued to see if this carrier was really worth all the hype.

A Bit about Safety 1st

My Review
The Clic It! came packaged very securely and setting it up was a snap....within 10 minutes the Clic It! was assembled {thanks to help from my Uncle who was visiting}. My sister was graduating the next day from college so my husband and I thought that would be the perfect opportunity to test out the Clic It!  The first thing I noticed was how lightweight the Clic It! was...thank heavens for that! I put the Clic It! into the back of our car {when folded flat the Clic It! dimensions are; Length: 33'' Width: 20.5'' Height: 9.6''} and we drove to the graduation. Upon arriving we took out the Clic It! snapped our sons Safety 1st OnBoard Air car seat onto the frame and then used the attached stretch canopy to shield the car seat from the sun and we were ready to go! The Clic It! basically functions just like a stroller does-it has two cup holders, a snap-close storage compartment, a stretch canopy {for sunny, windy, or rainy days} that folds up nicely into a pouch, and a basket which I love to store my diaper bag in! The Clic It! maneuvers smoothly over gravel and I loved having both arms free with no backache at all! My son loved being able to relax in his car seat and see everything that was going on around him. Since using the Clic It! at graduation it has become my new favorite thing! I use the Clic It! for trips to the mall, grocery store, library, and park...! It takes the strain off of my back and gives me the freedom to help my four year old. I highly recommend the Clic It! from Safety 1st it is a lifesaver especially when you don't want the hassle or bulk of a normal stroller! I plan on using the Clic It! on our next trip out of state. The Clic It! comes in a wide variety of colors to choose from and is extremely sturdy and visually appealing.

You can purchase the Clic It! online via Safety1st.com, Amazon, BabiesRUs, and BuyBuyBaby.

Note:
The Clic It! Quick Clic attachment system will work with the 1st, Cosco, Eddie Bauer and Peg Perego SIP 30-30 branded infant car seats. A strap is needed with the Mico, Evenflo Serenade, Chicco Key Fit 30, BabyTrend Flex-Loc, and all Graco brandcar seats.

Recommened Maximum Weight: 40 lbs.
