One of the first memories I have of Mother's Day is running to the little store downtown in persuit of the best Mother's Day gift for my Mom. I saw photo frames, recipe books, and cake stands piled higher than my 9 year old eyes could see. Peering from behind a pile of cards I saw "it"-the perfect gift. It was the gold embossed flowers that caught my eye...what could be prettier I thought. My eyes darted across the paper as I noticed the flowers cascading around the top into a beautiful scroll design...and then I noticed the beautiful matching envelopes...she would love it. I quickly purchased the gift and skipped home joyfully knowing that I had indeed gotten Mom the best gift {much better than my sisters homemade...
"M-O-M" card}. Upon presenting the stationery to my Mother she opened it up and gleamed with delight "Perfect!" she squealed! I will never forget that Mother's Day...and how stationary proved the perfect gift.
Stationary warms my heart...I love to give it and get it. Call me old-fashioned but there is nothing that can compare to a personalized letter...!
